  1. Thank you so much ... I told my son I can knock him out now, lol. Just kidding but thanks for the motivation. I need and so appreciate it.

    93lbs in 6 months! Pics!!

I'm not flying past you, lol. But thanks for the compliment.... I exercise like 3 or 4 times a week by doing cardio on my elliptical as well as focusing on my abs. I am now putting focus on my arms too because I'm noticing a little sagging skin there but hey gotta take good with the bad . You can look me up to check out my pics on posts that I have placed on here to see my progress . I'm doing ok with food now but I am very selective and still can't eat many different foods so I stick to the basic high protein foods that are on my list from surgeon like tuna, tilapia, chili, grilled chicken , Greek yogurt and veggies. We are both doing great and are on the losers bench which is the most important thing. Stay positive and keep in touch.

Erika we are almost surgery twins... I had my surgery in dec 5 and my weight was 219 and currently 174... I am a slower loser of lbs as well but my inches are flying off ... so I try to celebrate victories in other ways as well.. congrats on the loss and keep up the good work😊
  4. Thank you so much for the kind words. Please post a pic , so I can check out my competition, lol. I'm just kidding but I would like to see a pic of your progress as well. I am on a 3 month training program n I will post at the end of it a whole body pic and I am really focusing on my abs and my little itty , bitty butt( I posted pre surgery that I was worried it would go away well it's like 80% gone so now it's an itty bitty cute butt instead of a bubble butt sadly, lol) . So I'm hoping by the end of June my abs are ripped up a lil more ... I want more definition.
  5. I am so proud to say that I am now 3 months post op. I ventured into this foreign land called the gastric sleeve on Dec 5, 2016. I was nervous yet ready to have a new beginning in life. A healthier life that was more fulfilling without illnesses and aches all the time. Well, this 3 months has been a true roller coaster but I wouldn't trade it for the world. I started my journey out at 242 lbs pre- op. On the day of my surgery I was down to 219 lbs with the help of my dietician( I was very serious about my dietician's recommendations on diet changes ). When I awoke from surgery, I was so confused and in so much pain . I immediately regretted surgery,, lol. But after a couple of days I started to embrace my new lifestyle. I am 3 months out and today I am 176 lbs.....yayyy. Double screen pic was right after surgery and then 1 month after surgery and pics in white are most recent.
  6. Thank you so much... I'm blushing 😊 !

Oh I'm sorry ... thought you had the sleeve. Well I had the sleeve and it has been good to me as the bypass has been equally as good to you. I wish you continued success . U look 👏🏾 awesome.

Girl you are working that sleeve!!! You look wonderful.... at 9 months I want to be able to say I was that successful. I am doing pretty good for my body size as well plus I'm only 3 months out ( I just posted pics too 😂) but you are truly killing it. Congratulations
  9. Well, I do thank you so much 😊. Good luck to you on your sleeve journey.
  10. Thank you so much . I'm glad to inspire someone but I just feel I am doing average. I want to do way more and be that girl who defeated all the statistics about heart disease, sleep apnea, joint pain, liver issues, edema in extremities, chest pain and generalized depression due to weight gain ( because that is so real whether or not docs acknowledge it or not it is real). Everyday that God gives me strength, I am doing my best to make a difference in my life and I want to be a blessing to others as well. I truly thank everyone here because whether or not you all know it, you have been my source of strength and inspiration throughout this journey and even before I started the journey. So I thank everyone who has commented on a post or sent me a private message to encourage me. I am forever in your debt.
  11. Goldenbarbie you are so right . It is very hard and it takes discipline. But the reward is life and one can't beat that. A chance at a healthier, more fulfilling life. So the sacrifice is worth it. I'm nowhere near perfect but I strive to do better every day because this is a lifestyle change not a change until I reach goal. We will get there and exceed all expectations. God is able to see us through this. I have 25 more lbs to go until goal and I want to kick my goals butt and surpass it. I want to be on a poster and say " this used to be me ( holding up jeans big enough for 2 of me to fit in ) " 😂 lol
  12. Thank you so much for the compliment . I don't really see a six pack. I do see a smaller waist and my stomach size is smaller than it used to be. I use my elliptical 3-4 times a week and I do an ab workout app from my iPhone like 3 or 4 days a week. That's it really. I don't see what everyone is talking about ... I want a six pack so bad, lol.
  13. Thank you!!!! I appreciate it.
  14. Lol, I didn't eat the pb & j but I'm sure I replaced it with something else, lol. But only once or twice. I'm nowhere near perfect. But thank you so much. I have really been working hard at this.
  15. I'm sure you look great as well. Don't worry about the loose skin. You are healthier and smaller. I'm sure you feel better with 40 lbs gone . Enjoy life and keep working that sleeve. I'm 39 yrs old so the skin elasticity is a little different due to age but if I were 68 and lost 40 lbs , they had better watch out because I wud be one hot 68 year old and I bet you are as well . Take care and keep working mami.
  16. I truly appreciate the support I get from you all. It has made a huge difference on this journey. I'm truly grateful. And thanks for the compliment. I'm blushing, lol.
  17. Hi 10stackzz, long time no hear, thank you for saying I'm an inspiration. I feel I am doing okay but I am glad I am able to be a motivator for others, that's great. And soon as I am able to put on a bikini , because I am gonna wear one this summer, I will snap a pic or two or three, lol. Good luck on your procedure. I will def send prayers up for you . Because at the end of the day it's all in his hands. He has truly kept me thru this process.
  18. Well, sounds like you have lost 40 lbs. that is great Keep up the good work. We all get stalls. I have had several stalls thus far just kept pushing through and you should do the same. My doctor told me my weight would come off slower due to I started off at a lower weight ( 219 lbs) but I think it's coming off pretty good and I'm not experiencing loose skin thank God so I'm ok with the rate of my loss . Congrats on your loss as well. 40 lbs is a great accomplishment.
  19. Lol, yes ma'am. I stayed away from the king cakes as well as the moon pies. Thank you so much for the encouragement.
  20. I owe God too much.. all that I am and all that I am to be. Thank you so much for the encouragement .
  21. Thank you so much... everyone here inspires me as well !
  22. No, I'm not that tall but I'm not short either. I am 5'6 & 3/4 inches , almost made it to 5'7, lol, but when I look in the mirror I see a body that needs so much improvement and it is so heart warming to come here and hear such encouraging words. I love you all and truly do thank you for helping me along this journey.
