Thank you for all your great suggestions. I am trying the liquids and upping my exercise so we will see how that goes. I may try the cleanse as well just as another boost. Thanks again.

Well I had surgery 3/5/08. I have had some great success and lost 60lbs in a year. Well since my one year check up I have been stuck. I have changed my workout changed my eating around but seem to not be able to get over this pleateau. I am not sure what else to do. Has anyone ever tried the colon cleanse? If so which one was good? Should I possibly try liquids for a few days or week? I am just stuck. I started at 294lbs and now I am about 230-235. Any help anyone can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone.

I have been banded since March 2008 and have lost only 60lbs. I feel like I am at a stand still. I go up and down abour 5-10lbs. Does anybody have a suggestion on how to get over this and get started losing again?? Thank you all.

Thanks everyone who has responded so far. All your input has been great. I am not too nervous about flying now. Thanks again.

I have heard that if you go on an airplane after having the band it can make you get sick or if you ride a roller coaster it can make you sick. Has anyone done any of these things since having the band and does it make you sick. Curious because I fly next weekend and will eventually be going on roller coasters cause I love them. Thanks.

Sometimes I feel like I can eat and eat and eat. Other times food gets stuck and I have to throw it up. I have 7.5cc in a 10cc band. Is there a way to test my band and make sure it has not slipped or that I have not stretched the stomach pouch too much? I have had good success but I just want to make sure. Any advice would be great.

Well I agree with most of everyone on here, I want to be able to wear a bikini. Even as a little girl I couldn't wear a bikini. I want to be able to go back home to Ohio to good old Cedar Point and actually be able to ride on roller coasters. I love roller coasters. I want my old friends to see me and be like "Damn" LOL. I want to be walking down the street or in the mall and actually have men look at me because I look good not because of how fat I am, and finally I want to actually meet that special someone and settle down and have a family. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!! We will make it.

I work at a hospital and when I actually get a lunch sometimes it is really hard to concentrate on chewing. I find that food gets stuck several times. I am getting better at chewing and some of my close friends at work will yell at me to CHEW!! So it is better. I was concerened that my band might of been to tight but I find when I do chew and stuff like I can normally. So yeah even though it hurts I usually am able to get over it. I have had to actually gag myself and make myself get sick sometimes but then I am not hungry after that so I guess I am losing weight in that aspect. For the most part I am good but yes there will be times when food gets stuck and you will realize what you can and can't eat. I know what to not eat at work or out with friends for the simple fact that I don't want that happening when I there. Good luck with your band. -
HaJones, Yeah it is totally normal to feel so hungry. I recently had my 3rd adjustment and until then after a couple weeks after the other 2 adjustments I felt like I could eat the world. Now I am doing pretty good. I think I might have it filled just right. So just be patient and it will come. Congrats on your wt loss and good luck with the rest of your journey. It is so exciting and scary at the same time.

Hey MV, Yeah you are worrying too much. Don't worry about it though I did the exact same thing. I really didn't feel any restriction until after like my 2 or 3rd fill. So just be patient. It will come in time and as for being light headed you may need to eat some more. I got light headed some and passed out once cause I was not consuming enough calories. So good luck.

Well as everyone knows I had my first date over the weekend. Things went very well. He was so sweet and kind. We have gone out again on Monday night as well. There is a connection but I am really taking it slow cause I don't want to get hurt. We will be going out again on Saturday so I am really looking forward to that. Thank you for everyones support. It was so nice. I hope things continue to stay positive and I look forward to seeing where the relationship goes. Thanks everyone.:scared2:

Well everyone I have been so happy with my band and trying so hard. There are times when I am just like man why did I eat that. Nobodys perfect but I am happy with my progress. Well Saturday I have my first date. I haven't gone on a date in FOREVER:eek:. I am very excited but also very nervous. He has said nothing but nice things and has been a total gentleman. He told me he used to over 400lbs and now I think he is like 245. Once he told me that I decided to open and upfront about my surgery. I told him and he was so cool with it. He says he actually wants it. I think he looks fine but he thinks he wants it now. Well I am blabbing on and on I guess I wrote this just so I could get some support and advice on handling my first date in YEARS!! Any advice would be great I am so NERVOUS!! Thanks all!
