    Losing my mind?

Boy can I relate to this thread. My surgeon prescribes a special pre-surgical Protein drink 3 times a day plus at least 48 oz of Clear Liquids....broth, Water, crystal light, sf Jello, decaf coffe or tea. I never knew fat free, low sodium chicken broth could taste so good. I can definitely relate to your PF story. I'm supposed to stop everything including water at 6pm tonight but the hospital just called and they've pushed my arrival time forward 2 hours. I had to fight back the tears. I took the day off to finish up loose ends, but I've got too much time to think. I'm trying to look at the beautiful weather outside and think about getting my kayak out....as soon as the ice is off the lake. Ellen 350+highest/300 first visit/287? now/...anyplace in the 1's

    Meridia

I used it for 6 months and lost 16lbs...and then stalled. It all eventually came back which is why I'm here now...scheduled for 3/28. I didn't have any side effects, but I was already on cardiac and HBP meds. I tend to agree that it worked when it did becaue I thought it would. Ellen

    Pre-Op Diet

I just bought my supply of protein shakes last night. It's a spercial pre-surgery variety that is supposed to be an immune system booster as well as liver reducer. I get 3 per day for 7 days plus water, sf jello, clear broth, Crystal Light, decaf coffe or tea (sf of course). I'm scheduled for 3/28 and can't wait. If it all works out, I'll be recovered enough when the weather gets warmer so I can paddle my kayak. I need the break from the office. Great support on this board. Thanks! Ellen

    west hartford lap bander

I've finished all initial medical screenings and only have nutritionist appointments to go before I see the surgeon. I'm really getting quite excited. I'm new to this list today and wanted to say hello. I'm understanding that the issues for bandsters are different from those who have had a bypass and I wanted to say hello to others who have had or are having the same procedure. I'm in Litchfield but work in Hartford. Ellen
