  1. So my pre-surgery clothes are becoming extra big. I even had one of my freshmen tell me that my pants were big on me today. What do you all think? I must say I'm really happy that I won't be wearing these pants to work anymore. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Clothes Getting Big

Yeah. I'm so excited to be shrinking. I'm actually wearing a shirt today that had gotten too tight to wear buttoned before surgery. It's buttoned today and looks nice. . I'll take loose clothes over clothes that are too tight any day. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Going back to work

Everyone is different. I was sleeved on Feb 12 and went back to work on Feb. 22. But I am a teacher and don't have a physically demanding job. I actually only had to take 3 days off work due to wonderful snow days my district got before and after my surgery. . Hope you get to feeling better. If you feel like going back to work on Tuesday go for it but make sure you are cleared by your doctor first. If not take it easy for a while longer. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    My First 5K!

That's awesome. Way to go! I had surgery last month and plan to run one in December. I want to give myself time to lose some weight and get in shape in general. I've never even run a mile in my life but often wished I was more of a runner. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  6. I was off work for a week after surgery. I had surgery on 2-12 and went back to work on 2-22. I'm a teacher so my job is not physically demanding though. I started going to the gym and walking on the treadmill and doing the exercise bike after my 1 week post of appointment. I started more strenuous exercise after my 1 month post op. Introduction

Update... So I went for my 1 month post op yesterday. I only lost 9 pounds in the last 3 weeks and the PA didn't seem too excited about that. I did have a week to 1.5 week stall during this time though. She actually told me to try to eat between 1200-1400 calories a day. Not what I had been doing. I also will try to up my Protein. I've been trying to get the bare minimum but guess I will try to get closer to 90 grams instead of 70 to see if that helps. Also had blood work completed but I don't know how that went just yet. Hope everyone else is doing well. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Help weight lose

I also had my surgery Feb 12. I was reminded about the week 3 stall earlier this week. I would just continue getting in your Protein and 64 oz of Water daily. We all lose at different rates. Starting weight plays into it as well. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. Just wondering if anyone else was sleeved on Feb. 12 and would want to share stories? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  11. So I had my sleeve on Feb. 12. My last weigh in at the doctor was Feb. 2 and I weighed 294. One week post op I weighed 278.5 at the doctor. I weighed this morning at home and weighed 273.5 and then got to work and had to weigh for my insurance I had to do the Vitality test and weighed like 277 or 277.5. How is this possible? I have been getting in my required Protein but not really all the required Fluid. I have gone down a pants size also. I'm at the soft foods stage but mainly get protein through Protein shakes. Any insight? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
