About Me
Hi,
My name is Tara. I have been overweight most of my life. I've successfully lost up to 60 pounds before, but always seem to gain it back. In January 2015, I became fed-up after I gained back 50 pounds. I decided to a take a leap and look into surgery for the first time. My insurance required me to attend groups for six months which I finished in October 2015. Since then, I have been jumping through all the other hoops (surgeon's seminar, other classes and all those fun tests). Things have really started to pick up since I had my first office visit with the surgeon last month. Today I completed my last test (the dreaded endoscopy). I am hoping to have my surgery in March.
There are so many things I look forward to doing once I am healthy:
1) Finally setting a wedding date (I've been engaged since New Year's 2012, but refuse to get married and put on a white dress until I have lost at least 60 pounds. I know that is silly and my fiancé loves me the way I am...but it's my own issue).
2) Roller coasters!!!!! I have always loved theme parks, but a few years ago, I didn't fit on a ride and I have been terrified to try to ride anything else since then.
3) Beaches, Hawaii, Tahiti, Jamaica! I have been avoiding tropical vacations because that would require a bathing suit!!!
4) Better sex life!!! I can't wait to have more stamina and be able to use different positions!
5) Just feel better!!! Be able to move better etc.
I have lots more to say...but that is all for now!
