I, too, eat full fat everything. The only thing I really watch is sugar and carbs. Full fat tastes better, keeps me full longer and is much more satisfying. Bring on the fat and bring on the flavor!!Okay.........here I cum with the fatness.........I prefer my full fat to be protein- laden.....oh wait... Black bean tomato chicken stew

So tonight my pouch is definitely hurting. Happens every now and again. Got all my Protein and liquids in, just hurting. I always cook too much for myself, so this meal will go half-eaten, but dinner is--- Egg, grilled veggies, some cottage cheese and a few chick peas. I like variety, so a little bite of everything will do. Here's hoping my pouch behaves. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    I feel so lazy

I should add that I wrote that, sitting out on my flower -laden front deck, short shorts on, basking in the sun, drinking a coconut Protein2O on ice doing absolutely "nothing". The two high school kids I have left at home will be pulling up in an hour with a myriad of nonsensical needs I'll have to attend to. Now I'm putting this phone and app down and closing my eyes. See you all tonight. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    I feel so lazy

Well geez, lets complain about not having to run after the kids, clean up their mess or deal with patients all day... Lol. Two weeks left! You'll make it! Get outside and enjoy the fresh air! Walk around your neighborhood! Walk around the mall! Don't worry about not "doing" anything- enjoy this time post op when you don't have those pressures and can try and remember who YOU are! Be selfish! If you live near Water, go sit by it and enjoy the peacefulness of it. Meander, wander, meditate, journal, and plan. Oh I could go on and on here... 3wks out tacos?

You mean cheese.jpg !!!!! Almost everything is better with cheese except a few things (like toes, the "ugly" parts, etc.). Sorry I digressed. Ugly parts?! I have none of those! Unless you are referring to the jiggling going on at the top of my thighs, to which I would say- quit looking there!!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Weight loss in 6 months....

Just updated my weight loss to date, etc and realized my BMI is now 30!!!! Yahoo! From HW at my first visit to today, it's a total of 102 ish pounds. I won't officially count 100 lost for another 8 lbs though- surgery date weight. But damn, I'm close! 40 to go! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Cheese

What @@LipstickLady said. I'm the same. Exactly. As for cheese types- the lighter in color the better it is for you. Skip the low fat crap. It you're adding shredded mozzarella to the top of your food, use the regular stuff. Fact is, you can't eat that much of anything (I hope??!), so a bit of cheese shouldn't be an issue. If you're melting a ton of velveta cheese PRODUCT, well now, that's not really cheese, I would say. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. You're not doing anything wrong. A body simply needs to adjust sometimes. When the scale doesn't move- at this point in your journey- for 2 weeks, THEN I'd say there may be an issue- a stall, if you will. For now, keep on keeping on. Your body knows what it is supposed to do. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. When I have patients that are brushing their teeth too hard and eroding their gums and enamel, I make the same suggestion- switch to your non dominant hand. Makes perfect sense to me. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    I'm pissed!

You know, I busted my ARSE yesterday getting that walk/run in. I did not set out to do 26 miles. It just so happened that's what I accomplished. Was it hard? Damn right it was. Would I have stopped and grabbed an Ubër back to my starting point of I needed to? You BET! But every mile, every time I considered stopping I'd challenge myself to just get to "...." And so on. Today I'm out shopping and run into a friend. Our daughters happen to be best friends, as well- since Kindergarten. They even traveled to France together in March. I digress... I'm telling her about my accomplishment yesterday. Do I get a high five way to go? No. I instead am treated to a look of disbelief that I did that -and in the amount of time it took me (5 hours). I'm told that is what marathon runners do. Wtf? Do you think I've been sitting at home these months letting the weight fall off on its own??? Perhaps the miles and miles of walking the neighborhood not to mention the treadmill were in my imagination. So to the friend who was incredulous at my accomplishment ( and she is a marathon runner) I sayto hell with you! Rant over. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  15. Yeah, I know, not exactly an easy thing to ask for BUT I'm having a group of friends over who are past bariatric patients, all in maintenance and I want to prepare something sweet for them- like little shooter Desserts, that are bariatric friendly. My other option is to whip up some homemade whipped cream and add a small dollop. I'm looking to make things pretty- not calorie/fat laden. Any suggestions? Inner thigh, oh my

Yep. But that's typically reserved for people who excessively sweat. Not certain of studies or treatment modalities using Botox on those glands that swell and become infected. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    PCOS Strikes again!

Before considering a hysterectomy, I would ask the doctor about having a uterine ablation. You won't be able to have children, but your organs will be intact. It was my treatment of choice when, at 38, I began what was the worst 2 years of menstruation I could ever imagine. Ablation is an outpatient procedure done under a sedation similar to when you have a colonoscopy or EGD. They insert a balloon into your uterus through your cervix, and fill it with scalding hot liquid which ablates the lining permanently. Over the last 10 years, I've had a tiny amount of brown spotting that lasted about a day- less, really, about once a year. My hormones are intact, as are my organs. Just a thought- if hysterectomy was your treatment of choice. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
