I don't know about anyone else, but my sleep cycles are completely messed up. I've tried melatonin, you name it. However, I either can't fall asleep until 2-3 in the morning, or if I do manage to get to la-la land at a decent hour, I'm up wide eyed and ready to go at 2 am. No matter what time I'm up to or wake up at, by 6 am, my day has completely begun and it's off to the races. Had this issue before- when I was really suffering from the rheumatoid arthritis, but since surgery, I've been symptom-free. Yet sleep still eludes me.... @@KristenLe Lol. I prefer the bigger breeds, as well. Oliver belongs to my middle child- only girl I have. Next pup is going to be this--- Called a Bernedoodle. I'm averse-dog hair, so the doodle breed works. And because said daughter has had allergies to dogs, these she can live with. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App We should have created a " show pics of your dog" thread lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Can I have bread and if not why?
LisaMergs replied to kcirym2vp@yahoo.com's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oh god no no no. Won't touch bread or Pasta. Or rice. My weight loss is on track, I can live without it, and quite frankly, a taste usually blocks my stomach. So no. That said, I will have a small (1/4 cup) of hard pretzels if my weight is not moving. But that's me. shakes it up. And I can stop after the small amount and not trigger carb- lust. There are better things to lust after. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Omg - love your dog! I have 2 furballs too! Skunks bad here last few days and I worry about same thing! I have no sleep issues though - I can't drag my ass out of bed after 9-10 hrs! IMG_20160508_194241687.jpg Is that a golden or labradoodle??? Adorable! The one in that pic is Benny. Goes by many names, Bennydoodle, Doodlicious, and The Dood. He's getting old- 11 now. He has been the BEST dog I could have ever asked for. Have another dog as well, but he is quite psycho. I call him Sir Shitsalot. Also goes by (official name) Oliver, or YaYa - because he's crazy. He weighs in at 13 lbs compared to the Dood who is 110lbs ( and not fat- just a BIG A** goldendoodle) Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Acid Reflux Question

Prevacid Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App -
Nope. Not alone. I read, do some graphic design work, reply to emails. If it weren't for the risk of waking the household, I'd be cooking and cleaning during those hours. Would certainly free up my day to do only things I enjoy. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I have a couple of consults set up for next month. I'm not at goal yet- 40 lbs away- but definitely want the girls back where they belong as well as the TT. Two of my kids were C sections, the first an emergency C, so my scar goes vertical from belly button down. Even before weight gain, when my tummy was relatively flat, one side of the scar had a droop to it. I'm hoping that will easily be addressed. At this point, I'm in research mode, so I know what to expect, costs, etc. One in college now, and two headed over the next two years, requires planning financially. My husband couldn't care less if I do these things, but I know I'd catch flack if I dug too far into savings to do so. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

My doc also has me on a PPI, yet I find that I still have an occasional issue with the acid, and need to turn to OTC zantac. Frustrating, at best. And the pain is completely different that pre-op, so it took a while to discern that it was, indeed, acid. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App Ok. Wth. Keeps saying content not available. I think, perhaps, I just want to squeeze all I can out of each day. In the past, I would nap mid day. I have no need for that any longer. But, there is only so much one can do at this hour, without disturbing the masses. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

LOL. That would be a definitive "NO". Maybe I should go back and ninja edit my post to say "Never spoken these words to anyone". Damn. Just had my man-card credentials questioned. Damn. LMAO. I don't think your man card has ever been in question my friend. I mean- look at the skills with the grill alone... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

The pistachios were much better than the almonds I'd say. Perhaps because the almonds have a skin, whereas the seasonings creep into the pistachio shell and actually coat the nut itself. Either way, they WERE good... The army came in post school and work and devoured them while I was finishing dinner. Next question was "can you make the sugary almond ones?" Well, maybe if I have some extra Splenda.... Mm. There's a thought. Cinnamon, some chili peppers heat and the brown sugar Splenda. I need to run to the market. Okay......here it is..........words I've never spoken to any women....anywhere or anytime.............. I am admiring your nuts. @@Dub I got nothing to say back to that. Ok here they are- with one change- I added Parmesan cheese to them while they were cooling. Took the flavor profile way up. The pistachio is better than the almonds. But either way- yum. Great snack! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Damn. Eastern Carolina vinegar sauce is truly my fave- and go to sauce. Whenever I'm in NC, i usually over indulge. Try to find the most back road shacks I can to eat in because they're typically the best. Now- if you're willing to share your recipe for it, I'll share my Nonna's spaghetti gravy recipe with you!! And I don't give that to just anyone! Lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
