  1. Theory is- for bypass at least- if you eat mostly lean Proteins, followed by a veggie or fruit when it is consumed, you shouldn't need to count calories. You should be full, and then finish eating. I mean, we do, sort of, by knowing how much a piece of Protein costs calorically, but that is just a matter of getting familiar with nutrition, in general. And if we are using an app to track- well that makes it easier. My point is- you need to target your protein goal and meet it. Get on friendly terms with making adjustments when you are expending energy (working out) by upping your HEALTHY calorie intake, and track your food. You will begin to see "rhyme and reason" in plateaus, and how to help break them if they go on too long. Good luck. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I have very upsetting news for you. Bananas ARE the devil! But if they are, then why is "Angel Food" cake more fattening (ounce for ounce)? Damn. You're good. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Post op Diet question

Best tasting "clear" I've found. Not as high in Protein as Isopure or unjury, but I occasionally add a scoop of unflavored Unjury to it to boost the nutritional value. You can also use it- or Isopure, to make Jello. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Chili-roasted nuts

While doing my daily recipe searching, came across this. Making it tonight for the weekend, but looks too good to hold off sharing. It uses pistachios here, but can work on any nut. I'll likely do a mixture of almonds and pistachios Recipe- Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Foods My Pouch Can Tolerate

I make a pot of bone broth every week. No, it is not hard to make, at all. You can use chicken, beef, whatever kind of bones you like. The key is to cook it slowly for a long time. And you need to roast the bones first. You are not making soup here- it takes a long while cooking to extract all the nutrients from the bones. I don't fully season it until after it is finished. Onion, garlic is about all I add to the Water.
