    Anything helps, I'm new here!

Thanks Lisa! Yes I've had my initial apt as well as everything else. Now just waiting for an upper endoscopy and pre-op apt. I think caffeine is truly going to be my biggest hurdle. But thank goodness for decaf coffee right? Sent from my SM-G928T using the BariatricPal App I only didn't drink it the first 2 weeks post op lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  5. I got that all the time with my band, not yet with my sleeve... But when I slimed, first the food would get somewhat stuck in my throat, and then my body would produce tons of clear mucus to try to push it out. It was gross... Is this the way it is for sleevers too? Sent from my SM-N910V using the BariatricPal App Yep. And some times we are treated to the foamies with it!!! Fun times! What did your breast's do?

Just saw this-- 44DDD now 36 DD. Which is where I was 10 years ago (pre-obesity) Not flat, just need some good 'ok firming up. Either they get tighter thru exercise, or these babies are getting a lift! Either way, I'm good with it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

So where are 30 somethings shopping?

I have a hard time reconciling myself to inexpensive clothing. Don't get me wrong- I buy inexpensive when I can, but as a young girl, and I can still hear her in my head now- my moms "lesson" was "If you can afford one silk dress or 5 polyester dress, always choose silk". Yeah it was the 70's so I guess we could say "cotton", but her point was not lost- By the best you can afford. Doesn't work so well with WLS patients though, since we change sizes so often! My happiness lies is flirty, swilrly little skirts, some a little form fitting. Either way, I made an investment in a bunch at the beginning of summer, switching out tops here and there to change them up, and they have served me well. Likely get another 2 months out of them before weather forces them away. A few are really cute wrap around silk numbers. So- I "supplement" with inexpensive tops and "splurge" on boutique bottoms. Not spending the money on food, or eating out... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

I'll find you too. I do not share my surgery with the general public, but I DO post healthy food pics there and grab great info from Others. Mine is not "secret", so family and friends can follow me, but I just keep it to healthy eating, fun pics, etc. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Well, the run I just left the house to do, as well as the gardening later, is not happening. I'm stuck! Across from a Taco Bell and White Castle. Home is 2 miles away and the thunder and lightening is tremendous. Wonder if they have Bari- friendly sliders? lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Anything helps, I'm new here!

Welcome! You will find tons of info on pre op and post op just by searching the boards, too. I'm guessing you've had your initial appointment? One thing to know- ALL of us have different docs ( well, you know what I mean), and nutritionists. So that means you may ask a question and get many differing opinions. The KEY is to always consult with your team, follow their guidelines, and POST op, make adjustments that suit YOU, your weight loss, and contribute to your overall success. Many a debate has occurred on these boards relative to caffeine, soda, Protein types, you name it. What works for some isn't always true for another. Just spend time researching, learning and assessing who you are now and where you see yourself a year, two years, ten years from now. That is what pre-op is for. Hope that helps! Under Arm Exercises

As an aside, I do these exercises not only at the gym, but home, too. An ever-present need to prevent arm flab. Hell. Women have been using Soup cans for these exercises for years! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Under Arm Exercises

Hand weights- I'm going to try and describe this- Stand over something - maybe a desk, or countertop- and plant one hand firmly on the surface. Take the weight in your other hand, and begin with your arm bent 90degrees, and now extend it back behind you. Alternate to other arm. Another one is to use hand weights with your arms down at your side, and extend them out away from your body- so you will be palms facing your legs, and then lifting the arms away from you to the side, so that your arm is even with your shoulder. Those are two- is suggest a good Google search- or if you go to the gym- ask a trainer. Resistance bands are awesome too!!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  20. I was "allowed" at 3 weeks. I "allowed myself" at 6 days. Black, hot and yummy. Haven't looked back- and enjoy too many each and every day, along with iced unsweetened sun tea- with lemon, of course Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  25. I looked at the website. Couldn't see going unless 1) it was in my backyard Or 2) was in a city I really wanted to visit. Anaheim is neither. The conference is 2 days- and while some things look "ok"' not worth the travel. IMHO. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
