  2. That's a big jump in 6 weeks. A1C gives a number based on values over several months. Good luck!!! I'm not an endocrinologist- maybe try asking yours- if you have one- the best way to tank that number in short order? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

You're welcome. I was not a candidate for sleeve because of some underlying conditions, but given a choice I think I still would have chosen bypass. For me, there are a few more "checks and balances" associated with bypass. In 9 days, I'll be 6 months post op, and as of today, I'm down 103-ish pounds. 8. Hi all- many of you may already be using this brand, but I purchased several sample packets of Bariatric fusion Protein powder. First of all- omg! I'm in love! Not a single smelly protein taste to it! And I can even drink it mixed with milk which I normally can't do with other brands! Has 27 g of whey protein as first ingredient. I'm drinking strawberry sundae right now. The cappuccino and mint chocolate ice cream flavors are awesome as well! Just thought I would share!!!

    Ugh

I like the Nectars, and the Caribbean Cooler is the least sweet. I use one scoop of that along with one scoop of unflavored for a whopping 43g of protein. Goes down easily and I never miss my daily goal. This one doesn't "foam up" as much as the others, too, which helps with gas and bloating. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Ouch. Which area was the most painful? I've been reading about something called a reverse tummy tuck. Have any of you heard of this? Apparently it's for people who have the most skin above their bellybutton and what they do is create an incision under each breast and pull and lift the skin up this way. The pain after and recovery from this procedure is supposedly much easier than traditional. They can also do muscle repair at the same time. You don't need a new bellybutton created for you and often times they can use some of the leftover fat or tissues to create larger or fuller breasts. Again, this is not for people who use excess skin is below the belly button. There are a select few plastic surgeons in the country that do this procedure, but the knowledge of it is becoming more widespread. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. Oh goodness. You aren't "stalling"- I know that it's common for us to refer to the three week stall. You are HEALING. Your body is ADJUSTING. It needs to re-work the way it is now processing not only food, but your energy stores. You've just shocked the crap out of your system! Lol. Give it a chance to figure it out! I am a firm believer, at over 100 pounds down, that a stall goes on much much longer than this. In between, it's simply adjusting. I've said it before- I count the "decades" of pounds I lose--- 240-230 190-180 etc. the numbers in between are of no consequence to me. They bounce, change and do all kinds of erratic things- until they don't and I plummet into the next "decade". For me, right now, it's the 170's. 160's will come but if I worried daily about the 2 pounds up and down for a few days In between , I'd go bonkers. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

You may want to look into the unflavored Protein powders (unjury is good). You can add that to anything liquid- like Water or broth, coffee, tea and not have to deal with sweetness. And you don't "have" to eat the SF Jello or Popsicles. Perhaps make some for yourself? Add some unflavored Protein powder to water, some type of extract you like, and freeze. Add some fresh lemon juice to it? Yummy! I prefer my drinks unsweetened as well, and frozen homemade lemon pops were so good and refreshing. Heck! You could even make frozen coffee pops, frozen green tea pops- I could go on and on! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    New protein powder I found

So what do u do for protein Sent from my SM-J320P using the BariatricPal App Protein shakes are a huge part of our pre op and post op lives. Right after surgery, it is hard to meet all your protein goals. As we proceed further from our surgery, we add foods in to get us there, but still, there are times we may fall short. Having a GOOD Protein powder makes up for this- whether we are drinking it in the form of a shake, adding it to our foods- hitting that number day in and day out creates an environment of success- in learning how our bodies work, use protein to build and repair muscle, burn the good carbs we do eat- all of that, and taking control of our lives. One meal and work out/exercise at a time. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

But I know he won't let me take money from savings to pay for it- so it's all going to be on me. Hrupmph. I think I'll start with the girls Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
