Boost/Carnation Instant Breakfast
JeffVII replied to anonmom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My nutritionist always recommend boost Protein Shakes, reason why is because boost protein shakes that you take on the go they usually have the most protein per bottle and as you know protein intake is very important and it's not like you're gonna be drinking this for the following months this is just for that first month when you're on your liquid diet as you go you should focus more on eating food rather than drinking calories, protein shakes are only good when you are extremely busy and need something for on the go. or obviously if you do decide to hit the gym as is highly recommended some Protein Powder also have stuff that helps with muscle recovery. -
As long as you eat appropriate amounts and are okay with it and not eating more then you should be fine, nothing to worry about, but don't go binge eating.

Sleeved with no major pain
JeffVII replied to QueenOfTheTamazons's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had a similar experience my only pain was when i first woke up i had to wait like 15mins for them to put the drugs into my IV then for them to register but other than that i never had pain except slight gas discomfort, never took the painkillers they sent me home with, nurses were pretty surprised. i hope you can say the same for the next weeks -
3-4 months from surgery it was my nephews birthday and they had pizza i got tempted and had like a small piece and it sat well with me i ended up eating a whole slice I'm pretty sure i could've ate it before that but i was being strict with my diet so i don't break it often at all. anyways my points is that you should be good just chew it well and only try a small piece at first.

I'm like 8-9 months out of surgery and i have hit the biggest stalls i cant go under 240 after losing 120 pounds or so i used to weight 362 I'm at 241-244 and i just can't seem for like a 6 weeks now to get over this stall, usually my stalls would be 1 week or 2 and id randomly lose like 4 pounds all of a sudden but now nothing. I think my problem is not enough protein and calorie intake

Just had surgery for sleeve today
JeffVII replied to tanya0974's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
i didn't get hungry for like 2 months after surgery but that\s because i think it was a mental thing, i was eating cause i knew i had to mostly but other than that my mindset on food has changed since and i didn't miss anything that was unhealthy for like 8 months and even now i don't crave anything that bad. -
Feeling like I'm so gross right now :(
JeffVII replied to stephyyy2828's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
ah man for like a month id wake up with a dry mouth and disgusting taste of something it was terrible but it does go away. also don't sleep with a fan to your face just makes it worse. -
The funny part about this surgery is that they don't tell you, for the next years of your life your whole day will revolve around food and when your suppose to eat and keep a schedule, sometimes i feel like i eat more than when i didnt get the surgery cause than id eat once a eat one huge meal now i eat like 6 times a day 3meals/2-3 small inbetween Snacks just to keep my Protein high and my metabolism working.

Tomorrow will be a month out of the hospital and i have not been taking my "Multi-Delyn liquid Vitamins" its just disgusting and i hated it, i hated crushing the pills as well that i just started drinking them in halfs, My question is there any other type of Multivitamins i can take that isnt liquid some type of pill or chewables if so any suggestions or brands links would be appreciated. Also in this 1 month Ive lost about 29 pounds but ive seemed to hit a stall as i keep going from 304-306 i dont think munch about it since i lost so much for 1 month.
