Hi I work for a large health insurance company. What your letter is saying is that they did not have all your information at the time of your review to approve it. This happens alot clinicals didn't make it in time because they were sent separately , one sheet was cut off when it was faxed, or the whole packed arrived after the review. We do not go back looking for that missing information we notify you so your provider can follow up and find out what we need. So the fastest route is to take it to the billing dept at your dr office. The billers work closely with us. Let them see your denial it should be resubmitted for additional review. If you were denied it would say not medically necessary or not covered benefit etc..... -
oh sorry if i confused you . no I was saying the person who passed away did so after 10weeks. I plan to be back well before 10 weeks. My question was is there a best way to avoid clots and also I thought we were in the clear after about a month or so. Passing away 10 weeks later from blood clots just shook me up some thats all. iwanted to know if anyone has any suggestions like frequency of exercise each day etc.... I have not discussed being sent home on blood thinners with my Dr. at this point in time.

I haven't had my surgery yet it was more of a educational question more than anything. Thanks ajbishop2 I will definitely be following Dr's orders

Ok this is absolutely not meant to scare anyone. This is solely for my own educational purposes. I'm new to this and I want to know how to decrease the chances of getting blood clots. There was a message today in group that I'm apart of on FB where someone who was sleeved 10 weeks ago passed away from a blood clot. This shocked me because I was thinking maybe 4 or 5 weeks tops you would be in danger of blood clots. Does anyone know how long I should be concerned about blood clots after I have my surgery. I want to make sure I stay on top of that. Also someone mentioned walking 15mins every hour your awake and you will be fine. I work a desk job and I plan to be back at work before 10 weeks is this the best way to avoid clots? Thanks everyone .

Work in healthcare - what to tell them?
cbrown1 replied to Freckles70's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I work in healthcare so I told my coworkers I'm having surgery that will help my kidney function. They know I have one kidney and loosing weight will help me. I also told them because of this I will need to loose weight so I appreciate if they would be supportive of my new healthy lifestyle. No one asked anything just told me they would support my new diet. So I told the truth but not all of my information was needed. If they ask specific procedures just let them know your are processing this your self right now and prefer not to go into extreme detail at this moment in time. -

Ok so a couple weeks ago I went to my first sleeve appointment. I wanted to take some time and think about it. So I figured the 6months diet will give me enough time to really make up my mind. Well a couple days ago I decided the sleeve was best for me and yesterday afternoon I received a call they have my approval no 6month diet necessary. Today I know I should be excited but I'm a little scared I guess because it's a reality now. They are calling me to let me knows dates today. Could everyone keep me on their prayers please just to get rid of the nervousness I have all of a sudden . I thought I would be super excited has anyone else felt like this when they were approved? Thanks everyone

Oh wow thanks. I was a vegetarian for 4 years and I loved it. I'm considering going back and I'm happy to hear that you did well. I will definitely make sure I talk to my doctors and stay hydrated. Yes I would like to join your group I will check it out on Facebook now.
