  1. today: b: low carb slim fast w/ 1 tablespoon peanut butter l: 3oz tuna salad with some shredded cheese and a slice of tomato- 4 whole grain crackers d: who knows. i made eggplant yesterday but it gave me acid...so i may just have some eggs or something.
  2. they look good!!! how do you make them? never tried... i might make them this weekend.
  3. today: b: venti chai tea latte (starbucks) l: we had a bbq at work so i picked...about 4 bites of a chz burger, no bun, same for baked beans, and a bite or two of potato salad. THEN half a cookie lol..and a few bites of a brownie. OMG!! d: i might make some black eyed pea cakes. we'll see.

  5. yesterday: b: those "healthy" pancakes on the recipe board. they were good. had with peanut butter. l: 3 whole grain crackers and 1oz goat cheese d: 1 chicken cutlet "rollup" with goat cheese and sundried tomatoes inside. s: i made "no bake" lemon bars from that healthy eating show on the food network. they tasted really good (all reduced fat/ff ingredients--except for the crackers on the bottom) but my "crust" didn't harden. i still ate a little piece lol. Today: b: low carb slim fast with 1tablespoon pbutter, blended l: ordered a grilled chicken/chz/bacon salad lol i'll just nibble:lol: d: chili. i made it yesterday and it was fab. can't wait. s: likely to be some lemon bar (a little goes a long way with this)
  6. yesterday: b: 1 piece of taylor ham, 1 piece of cheese, 1 fried egg, 1 piece of toast (all on the toast). I ate half of it. l: nothing (i had a baby shower to go to and i knew i'd eat there) d: (at baby shower) 2 carrots with hummus (probably a teaspoon), guacamole (about 2-3 tablespoons) with 4 crackers, Beans. s: (at baby shower) 1/4 cupcake s2: (at home) 1 bag (individual bag) dorritos:eek: AND 1 weight watcher dessert. :confused::eek: I was in a really bad state!!!! :thumbup:

    HELP - I'm getting complacent!

    first--sounds like you've done such a great job! congrats. it sounds like you do not have an issue with doing more...but more of an issue with getting "lazy" and losing motivation. So, why don't you tell people around you--those you are friendly with--that you need to lose 22lbs to be healthy. ask them to call you out when you're "cheating" isn't that what many of us do when we start our 'diets' anyway (or in the past i kept it quiet so i can cheat and no one would know i was trying to lose lol). you need to be accountable again. tell people that when you reach for cake for them to hand you some cheese instead lol. i mean--it works if you're really ready to step back up to the plate and lose the last 22lbs. i mean you're almost there!!! imagine if back when you started someone told you that you could be healthy if you just lost 22lbs! we'd all do it in a second! if i were you--i'd make one "cheat day" a week...that day you can snack on some cake or whatever (just not binge) and that way you don't feel cheated. you can do it...you've done SO much already. Here's what I've done: I've lost almost 52lbs in like 4 months or so...so everyone at work is like "wow don't lose much more" (ahh, i'm STILL 100lbs overweight lol..but they are used to seeing me so much bigger i look slim to them). I told them "well my doctor recommends i lose 100 more so i can be healthy." I was surprised at how they responded to that--so caring and concerned. when you drop the "healthy" word people will respond to you as well. good luck.

  9. last night i made baked chicken cordon bleu (with lite jarlsberg cheese and low sodium ham)..rolled and lightly dipped in breadcrumbs/baked for 25 minutes. it was SO good. Today: b: VENTI chai tea latte from starbucks l: (will have) bbq food. I'll probably get a cheese burger at the company bbq and some salad and pick (without the bun of course) d: black eyed pea cakes..these are so good i crave them!!! s: tbd. i've been eating too many weight watcher desserts at night but i just love them lol. must get this under control..ugh willpower.

    Olive Garden NOT accomadating!!

    Hi, My doctor gave me one. To be honest, I never used it. I usually just order a meal (without bread/rice) and eat what I can and bring it home. Usually my intent is to eat it the next day, but my hubby usually gets to it before then. :thumbup: For me, i like to feel "normal" lol. Whatever that means...i guess i feel good when i can order a normal meal and i stop when i'm full.

    Snacking

    well if my head needs something (which it usually does a few times a week) i have a skinny cow ice cream (80 cals) or if i'm really craving junk food i'll have a weight watcher frozen dessert. Head hunger is the one thing i still struggle with---especially while watching tv at night. i don't usually snack too much during the day.

Today: b: chai tea latte & a slim fast (when i'm done drinking my latte) l: 3oz tuna salad with tomatoes on 3 or 4 crackers (depending how hungry i am--usually 3 is good) d: well i have leftover crab cakes that i'm feeding to the hubby so i'll grab a soup or salad----just so i don't have to cook:lol: 90210 is on tonight and being i still have my "big girl head" aka..head hunger i betcha i'll end up having some sort of snack (i.e. a weight watcher thingie that i should NOT be eating every day). My goal today is to do my in home walking tape ...wish me luck! :tt2:
  14. thanks everyone!!! i feel like i could be making better choices (i still eat fatty foods, just not rice/pasta)..and i eat small portions. BUT i noticed that the last month it has come off slllllllllow!! I need to eat more low cal. foods.. georgia girl: you know what's weird is i'm very big on the bottom and i'm basically losing on the top (ugh). i eat crackers...but i skip bread, pasta and rice (unless if i'm eating lol) BUT i eat potatoes...i wish it could all fall off hehehe
  15. Thanks!! I feel really proud today that I stuck to it..even with some bad choices along the way. My next goal is 43lbs...to break 200 for the first time since college. I'm sure i'll need a kick in the- you know what- along the way!!

  19. I made this for dinner last night and it was SO good. A few tips: 1). i could not find adobo sauce for the life of me, but i realized that if you go to your mexican aisle- they have chipotle peppers in adobo. I used a teaspoon of that sauce. 2). this is a little messy when you make into patties. Make sure you heat your pan first--with a little oil--and then have flour next to you. It will stick on your hands, but i just put a tad of flour on both sides and it was no problem. This took me about 20 minutes to make. Ingredients 1/4 cup fat-free sour cream 1 teaspoon adobo sauce 1 (15.8-ounce) can no-salt-added black-eyed peas, rinsed and drained 1/4 cup dry breadcrumbs 1 tablespoon finely chopped onion 1/2 teaspoon bottled minced garlic 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon black pepper 1 large egg, lightly beaten 1 large egg white, lightly beaten 1 1/2 teaspoons olive oil 1/4 cup (about 1 ounce) shredded Monterey Jack cheese Preparation 1. Combine sour cream and adobo sauce in a small bowl. 2. Place Beans in a medium bowl; partially mash beans with a fork. Stir in breadcrumbs and next 7 ingredients (through egg white). With floured hands, divide pea mixture into 4 equal portions, shaping each portion into a 1/2-inch-thick patty. 3. Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add patties to pan; cook 2 minutes on each side or until golden and thoroughly heated. Remove from pan; top each cake with 1 tablespoon cheese. Serve with sour cream mixture.   21. Hi! You may want to look at the "what are you eating today" thread. We all share our good, bad and ugly over there:redface: to be honest i don't count calories that much..sometimes when i'm not lazy i put my foods on www.dailyplate.com but often i forget. typical foods i eat are: slim fast with Peanut Butter (breakfast) or high Fiber oatmeal and often times my darn chai tea latte from starbucks:eek: lunch usuals are: small Soup from local deli (i just don't order the ones with rice/pasta in them, but i eat creamy ones..and i have 1 serving of oyster crackers. Or salads, or chicken/tuna salad. Dinner: i make a frittata every week for dinner, tonight i'm making black eyed pea cakes (cooking light), tomorrow is leftover meatloaf and we'll order out one night (fridays i go out with the girls). I really eat whatever i want except for steak (tough meats), bread (except for a few times), Pasta & rice. I do eat crackers though because it keeps me sane and feeling like i'm not on a "diet." Snacks: dole fruit cups (that's a biggie with me), sf pudding, slimfast Protein snack bars. I've had 3 fills--have in 6.6. Honestly, i think i could probably eat most things without trouble if i tried...

If they are good i'll post the recipe tomorrow. I'm fighting hard this week to be good so i reach my 50lb goal. It's been so hard!! SO i've been working out and i'll try to avoid my fav. chai tea lattes this week. :eek:

    Hi Susie I'm from north jersey too. I think you'll be fine...i personally had more trouble with not eating...plus you're mind will be on relaxing:smile:
