  2. i'm really happy today because i was upset yesterday about not losing weight for nothing as i lost 2lbs. Yay. Today: b: venti iced chai tea (skim) latte & a bisscotti l: i'll order out...probably will get a Soup or something d: going to bonefish grill and will get crab cakes and these cheesy potato things (totally not low fat). Gym: no gym today...i'll go to lucille roberts tomorrow morning for a cardio class and again on sunday.
  3. Hey. Yes, it's all women. I like it because it has someone with every size/shape and age there. So i don't feel huge or stupid when i do something wrong. Plus the classes are fantastic! I'm from north jersey (like 5 miles outside NYC).
  4. i'm noticing a few things this week. Although my weigh in day is tomorrow i got on the scale today and was expecting a lb down...now that may or may not happen tomorrow...but as of now i'm only down .2. I got really discouraged so i came on here and read what i've been eating. I realized that i haven't been making good choices- giving in to my cravings. I noticed i'm doing this more because i'm working out a lot and feel i "deserve it." UGH. So i'm posting this on here so i cannot back out of a promise that i will make better- low calorie- choices Monday-Thursday (Fri-Sun I'll allow myself one meal of what i want each day--within reason). SO please feel free to call me out next week if i don't honor it!! Today: b: dunkin donuts coffee (med) with skim milk and equal (50 cal) b2: quaker granola bar (140 cal) l: lean cuisine (300 cal) s: if i'm hungry i'll have a south beach fiber fit bar (140 cal) d: i'll either have spanish chicken or a lean cuisine depending on my mood (300-400 cal) Gym: Going to lucille roberts today to take a "mega mix" cardio class.
  5. ugh...so here's my confession. i went to the gym for 35 minutes burning 500 cal...but then i picked up baked potato soup (chz/bacon on it) AND then i ate 3 cookies (180 cal. total) I didn't eat my yummy spanish chicken as i had planned. I think i was bored...must not do that again! :w00t: Today: b: instant coffee (80 cal) & oatmeal with pb (250 cal) l: ordering a turkey/swiss wrap with balsamic vinegar on it. i'll probably eat some of the actual wrap and all of the cold cuts (i take it apart). It's probably in the 300+ calorie range (guessing) d: spanish chicken! this time i won't go to get my comfort soup. it's probably 350 calories (again guessing). My goal for today is not to snack tonight. cross your fingers:rolleyes: Gym: i'm going to do my usual 45-60 cardio and toning (about an hour--but that's because we all talk and do it at the same time lol)
  6. Calories: 1400 is kind of high for every single day. My doc wants me to stay within 800-900, but i don't because that is just insane...i'd rather lose slowly and enjoy food so i stay under 1200 daily. I always have a "cheat" day so that day i go higher. That's just what works for me. What are mushies? Each doctor is different and allows different things. Mushies for me were mashed potatoes, yogurt, creamed spinach, soups. Tuna salad, etc were "soft solids" Could I have damaged anything? It seems unlikely from what you wrote. What should one be consuming 2 weeks after surgery? Didn't your doc give you a list of foods that are ok to eat? if not, call him and get one. I was on liquids for a week and then mushies for a week, then soft solids for 4 weeks. As far as streghting my pouch shouldn't I have thrown up because of over stuffing? Did I over stuff? In the beginning i was always hungry...for at least 8 weeks. It was torture..this is when willpower really has to win because if you eat the wrong foods daily you will hurt your band. I would use this as a time to get the info you need from your doctor and follow his advice. Today: b: instant coffee & oatmeal with pb l: lean cuisine pizza d: spanish chicken that i cooked in red sauce (drumsticks) with potatoes and beans. So yummy. s: if needed i'll have a weight watcher dessert. Gym: the last two days i went to cardio & toning classes at lucille roberts. i literally had to ice myself in order to walk afterwards!! lol. I'm going to do the elliptical today, but I'll take it a little easy.
  7. aww thanks! i'm such a dork these days because i literally cried--yes cried--after i did my lucille roberts "triple fat burner" class just for being able to do 50 minutes of crazy cardio. feels so nice to not be so limited these days.
  8. Thanks!! I'm so proud of myself...yesterday i did (for the first time) 60 minutes on the elliptical burning about 835 cal. That was a small goal I set for myself. Yay! Today b: oatmeal with pb & syrup, 250 cal l: lean cuisine, 330 cal s: (if needed) i brought a south beach fiber bar thingie just in case if i'm hungry in the afternoon, 120 cal d: roasted chicken enchilada (leftovers) Gym: going to lucille roberts today to take their "triple fat burner" class. Trying to change it up a little...hopefully i can walk tomorrow:rolleyes:
  9. i feel so much better now that my fill has been taken out (although i hope i'm not hungry). back to normal food today. b: oatmeal with pb & syrup l: roasted chicken & white bean salad (cold) d: roasted chicken enchiladas (i'll probably have a half of one or so) Gym: Now that i have some energy i'm back to my routine--45 min cardio (elliptical machine) and then toning (usually an hour).
  10. Ugh i'm in misery. Yesterday I woke up and could not eat anything at all...drinking was at a minimum...felt that fire feeling all day long. SO, today I went to get the fill i had put in last week removed. Feel better, but i'm so tired and weak since i haven't had anything to eat (and liquids today). oh the joy. Has anyone else ever had that happen---just wake up a week after a fill and suddenly can't swallow? So weird. Anyways, today: b: iced chai tea latte (i need caf) l: slim fast d: maybe some soup or something
  11. b: tall double skinny latte & a yogurt (i'll eat them an hour apart), 250 cal l: flat bread lean cuisine, 330 cal d: depends on my mood. i might just do a lean cuisine if i'm lazy--total possible cal= 330 cal Total Cal: 910 Gym: Going again today. will do about 45 minutes of cardio (ish) and then some toning and crunches.
  12. From my experience--I can really eat anything (well i can't get down a big fat sandwhich, but i can eat one without the top and take small bites of the bottom half). Other than that anything goes down. Only in the last 2 months or so did i start introducing more food options (like pasta and rice and bread). I felt (again for me) I needed to allow myself more as I approached the 1 year mark. That being said i've learned portion control (well most days:lol:). Good luck--i'm sure you will find what works for you!!! Today: b: (it's a birthday party with all baked goodies, donuts and such). I just took a small cup of coffee and 4 crackers with 4 mini pieces of cheese (really mini) and 4 mini pieces of meat. Not a horrible choice considering what i could have had. l: leftovers from last night's dinner at Carmines in NYC: half meatball and a little angel hair pasta. D: going to do a lean cuisine so i keep it simple. Gym: hour of cardio, trampoline jumps (usually about 200), crunches (usually 60) and some toning for my arms. It's so weird that i'm craving the gym!! Who am i? lol

    Pre-Op question please help!

    no pre-op diet for me. my doc doesn't believe in it (every doctor is different). the post op diet ..now that was hell. lost a ton...but was very hungry for 6 weeks lol.
  14. getting a fill at 1:45pm today so i'll eat: b: tall double skinny latte & oatmeal with pb & syrup, 350 cal l: around noon i'll have some more oatmeal, 260 cal d: low carb slim fast liquids the rest of the day (which isn't bad since i get to eat a little prior to going). Mushies tomorrow. Gym: doing an hour of cardio and some weights.

Total cal: 1020
  16. I make mine by: make oatmeal with water (less cals). Once prepared add pb & syrup...stir. Yum.
  17. so last night i was really bad and snacked a lot. no idea why..i wasn't even hungry. i had dinner then later on i had the following: scoop baked apples with scoop lf frozen yogurt, then later i had- 100 cal pack pringles, then 100 cal pack cheese puffs. UGH. I'm disappointed i ate just because i was bored:frown: Today: b: tall double skinny latte & oatmeal with pb & syrup, 250 cal l: about 3-4 oz of roasted chicken and a salad, about 350 cal d: i might do a lean cuisine today because the flat bread makes me pretty full and i'm less likely to snack. My goal for today is to NOT snack today...wish me luck:ohmy:
  18. b: tall double skinny latte, 90 cal b2: oatmeal with Peanut Butter & syrup, 250 cal l: tuna (about 2-3 oz) with 2 teaspoon of light mayo, small salad with grape tomatoes, red onions and a few ff croutons with italian dressing (not a low fat dressing). Estimated cal, 360 d: cooking light cream of broc. Soup with cheese, 400 cal s: something for 150 cal or less (if needed) Total Cal: 1250 Gym: going to the gym today--will do 60 minutes of cardio (burning around 575 cal because i do half on treadmill and half on ellipitcal) and then crunches and a couple of hundred jumps on the trampoline.
  19. today's my weekly "cheat day" so it won't be good lol... b: iced chai tea latte & a caramel macchiato biscotti from starbucks (460 cal) l: i'll probably order a salad or something, around 400 cal d: going to bonefish..again...won't be good. i'll order crab cakes (i'll eat a half) and pick on these cheese potatoes. i have no idea how many calories, but it isn't low. i would guess it's in the 900 range. :eek::eek: Total estimated cal: 1760 (i'll just round up to 2000 though just in case if my figure for dinner is off a bit). Tomorrow I go back to working out and making some better choices, but i know i'll "cheat" a litte at dinner because i'm making: Saturday Dinner: 1/2 slice of pizza and a salad. Will have some of the weight watcher apple and pear crisp i'm making for my company. Sunday Dinner: Latin burgers (i'll eat half a burger), but it has mexican cheese and onions and jalapeno peppers on it. I'll use a flat bread that's low cal for it. I'll be strict for breakfast and lunch for both days and will exercise with my at home 3 mile walking tape (with toning bands). Ok, see ya Monday!

    Fast food!

    i don't eat fast food very often because the high fat content gives me an "effect" if ya know what i mean. I have had wendy's chicken nuggets and even some of a small fry a couple of times. I've had wendy's chili as well. if i'm in a rush (and with my work and gym schedule i don't get home until almost 8pm during the week) i eat lean cuisines...it's a healthier version of fast food. i can eat their flat breads and pizzas with no problem...i just take my time and chew.

  23. As per the oatmeal thread i put a teaspoon of pb and a teaspoon of low fat syrup. Tastes like an oatmeal cookie. Yum. Very filling also.

Today: b: weight watchers vanilla chai smoothie with 1 cup skim milk, 210 cal l: flat bread lean cuisine, 330 cal s: string cheese, 60 cal d: lean cuisine pizza, 330 cal s: starbucks mocha frap. ice pops, 120 cal Total Cal= 1050 Working out today- Will do about 60-70 minutes of cardio on average (i basically don't get off the ellipitcal until i've burned 500 cal--usually takes 35 minutes or so--and then i do a half on the treadmill). Then i'll do 30 sit-ups.
