  2. aww you were banded on my birthday! see i've been at the same weight for a month, but it's because i'm eating badly on the weekends:thumbdown: If you are eating right...why don't you start writing down your food intake and posting it on the thread in this section (what did you eat today). It helps all remain accountable. I asked my doctor your question a while ago and he said this (and he put it bluntly): If you are eating right, staying within a good calorie range for you (varies depending on each person) and exercising you will lose weight. If you aren't--you may think you're doing it all right, but you are not (for your body). That being said, again post it up here so we can maybe look at the types of foods you eat and see if you can swap out things that might help you out of your slump. Losing weight is all math--you have to burn more than you eat. I hate this!! I Wish i could eat more than i burn hehehe :eek:
  3. well i ate horrible yesterday after my race--had a drink, mexican, ice cream at night lol. So it's back to business today... b: iced venti skim caramel macchiato, 300 cal l: a lean cuisine, about 230 cal d: something. i don't know yet. with a budget of 360 cal Total Cal= 890 Gym: Can't go. Since my ankle was hurt going into the race...it's badly hurt now (couldn't even put weight on it after the race yesterday evening).

    Eating the same food everyday

    well i'm not a doctor, but my advice is if it's working for you...go with it, but make sure you get your vitamins in because you're not getting them with food. i would maybe sneak in some milk though...or yogurt or something. just realize you can't eat like that for the rest of your life..ya know? so when you're ready you may want to introduce some other foods. i know how it feels though to stick with what works. I eat lean cuisines during the week like they are going out of style!!! i just can't muster up the energy to cook after the gym. not the most healthy option, but it works for me. Good luck!! Seems like you're doing great.
  6. b: starbucks iced coffee--this is new and delish:thumbup: 190 cal (i know i should get a smaller one, but for the safety of others i venti-size it lol). I splurged with 2% milk today. l: some kind of frozen thing...360 cal d: probably turkey deli meat and cheese roll ups...about 250 cal (4oz turkey, 2 slices amer. cheese) Total Cal= 800-920 (*if i'm hungry i'll add a 120 cal snack) Gym: My feet still ache from walking 7.5 miles the other day:huh2: I'll probably go to the gym try to burn like 400 ish cals.

First off most people would not say that to your face lol...well in jersey they wouldn't because us jersey gals can get rough if you mess with us!! :mad2: Second, all weight gain is a mental issue. I'm sorry--maybe this will not make me popular for saying this--but i believe very few people gain 100lbs because they just love food that much. I gained 150 because i 1) love food and 2) ate when bored and lonely. It was how i would cope with anything. SO if my theory is correct--then WW peps would have the same freaking issue!! I don't tell everyone that I have the band--just those i trust because many are ignorant.

    Coffee.....

    i drink coffee every day. i didn't, however, the first 6 months or so. let's face it--regardless of what doctors say--if most of us are going to be successful we need to make life changes. so, i felt it was necessary for me to omit it in the beginning, but once i started to feel more in control i started to allow myself the things i like and crave--like coffee. moderation is a key thing--and with coffee that's no exception. for me, when i drink it i just include those calories and work out my meals with that in consideration. is it worth it to you to subtract like 50-100 cal of your food for it (assuming you add milk)? it so, you may want to incorporate it back into your diet at a later date.

If not i'm going to try to wait and have a snack tonight after dinner. d: probably a lean cuisine or something. 360 cal max Total Cal= 920 Gym: WELL i'm kinda proud to say that yesterday for the very first time in my life (even from when i was thin) i walked 7.5 miles (took 2 and half hours) to prep for my 10k walk this weekend. YAY!!! I feel so much better about the charity event now.... That being said- my feet burn. lol. bad. i'll probably do a light workout indoors today.
  10. ugh i'm so frustrated with myself. This weekend I was totally out of control. Snacked all day...ate chips, etc. All the weight i lost last week (which was trying to lose the lbs i gained over vacation--no less) i gained back over the weekend. I don't know why i do this to myself!!!?? b: coffee, 50 cal l: i have to go out to lunch with my dept. of course on the day i'm trying to get back into the swing of things. :frown: d: something small, maybe a salad or lean cuisine. Gym: I'm in a 10k walk for Aids this weekend so i'm hitting the streets (ha-ha) and going to try to walk 6 miles.
  11. well i didn't exercise yesterday...had a long day at work and decided to skip it. i'll make sure i get it in today. b: coffee with skim, 50 cal b2: fiber fit bar, 120 cal l: a frozen panini, 360 cal d: no idea. i might make some eggs..with a piece of toast or something--it'll be no more than 420 cal Total Cal= 950 Gym: I'm going!! Cardio and toning...unless if it's a nice day i might go for a 3 mile walk...we'll see how the weather plays out.

Today i'm going to try to get to an hour of cardio...it's so hard coming back after not exercising for 2 wks!!

  14. so yesterday my husband's family invited us over for dinner and I did so well up until dessert. I had the most incredible peanut butter & jelly cupcake!!!! OMG. so worth the calories. lol I have to go out for dinner tonight with my boss so i'm trying to be good before that... b: coffee with skim, 50 cal l: black bean soup, about 350 cal s: (if needed) a south beach bar, 120 cal d: bonefish grill No gym today..i'll try to take a walk though at the end of the day.

It's 45 minutes long and probably burns about 500 cals. Tomorrow is my one year...i feel like i'm just shocked i've been on this journey for that long!!

  18. I completely agree. I cannot give up food..i just can't. I still eat when i'm happy, sad, celebrating, etc...i just eat less of it. I mean--i know we shouldn't be "turning" to food to comfort us...but let's face it...most of us still feel the need sometimes. SO i've "allowed" myself the opportunity every single week to eat what i want so that I don't go into binge mode--i just have to work out like crazy Monday-Thursday to still lose at least a lb a week lol.

I would have done the same thing b: venti iced caramel macchiato with skim, 300 cal l: campbells cup a soup (cream of broc), 150 cal d: campbells cup a soup (maybe this tomato one), about 180 cal (from what i remember) Total cal= 630 Gym: It sounds weird to "say" (aka write) this..but i'm really proud of myself. I reached another milestone...i can now jog at 4.0 for 3 minutes on and off while on the treadmill. I never thought in a million years i would jog one day. Like i look at these girls who skip and stuff outside lol..and i cannot get my body air-born!! Anyhoo, I did an hour of cardio and crunches last night. Today it's an hour of cardio and arms. Feels nice to give myself a little credit sometimes:blush:

Well i intended on a completely different 'food day' but then someone at work is going to houlihan's so i changed up my food so i can get something as well. b: coffee with skim, 50 cal l: potato soup from houlihan's, 450 cal (although they say it's 387--i never fully believe them) d: probably a lean cuisine or something, 370 cal Total cal= 870 Gym: had an awesome work out yesterday...planning to do more of the same today.

  22. so i'm really happy that i lost all the weight i gained over the weekend plus .2 (totally 2.8 this week) so i'm basically back to where i was last week. today: cheat day b: latte with skim, plus 2 pieces of this cheese thing someone brought in:frown: l: if i'm hungry--maybe a yogurt of something d: going out..it won't be healthy i'm sure. Tomorrow i'm back "on" this diet thing.

    Can't lose! Help!

    Hi I would call your doctor as well. If everything looks ok from him I would totally change the types of foods you are eating. Eliminate carbs completely for a week to see if that jump starts you...change the type of exercise you do so that your body gets confused....and lastly, eat less. I know 1000 cal isn't that much, but technically my doc wants me to eat between 800-900 cal a day (i try to monday-thursday). Maybe introduce greek yogurt...lean meats & cheeses...salads, etc. Whenever i get "stuck" in the same place for a week or more I change up my diet and it works every time.
  24. today: b: dunkin coffee with skim, 50 cal unexpected b2: a co-worker made this apple matza cake so i tried a little piece (pretty small), guessing about 150 cal l: lean cuisine (i always lose weight eating these darn things), 350 cal d: lean cuisine pizza (in the mood for "snack food"), 370 cal Total Cal= 920 Gym: Another day...i'm already sore. Will do the same i've been doing all week (half hour on the elliptical burning about 410 cal and half on the treadmill burning about 155 cal then weights).
  25. so i stuck to my food plan yesterday..got on the scale today (i know i shouldn't do this to myself) to see if the Monday weigh in number (+3lbs) was accurate from the weekend..and guess what? it was:frown: I did lose a lb yesterday (probably because i was crazy in the gym last night lol)...but now i feel so guilty for having a bad weekend!! I'm determined to bring it back down to what i was last friday--by this friday's weigh in. ugh. b: dunkin coffee with skim, 50 cal b2: greek yogurt (sometimes i eat this in the afternoon instead in the morning), 140 cal l: lean cuisine, 330 cal (some kind of pannini or something) d: lean cuisine, 350 cal (the butternut squash ravioli rocks) Total Cal= 870 Gym: Going. lol. Was going to walk outside but it's a cold day today. I'll do a half on the elliptical and a half on the treadmill (i don't go very fast because my sausage legs just can't keep up!!)--burning about 550 cal
