Is my BMI too low for the sleeve?
Munstersfan207 replied to maybesomeday's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My bmi was 2 points lower than what is acceptable to have surgery via my insurance. I had high blood pressure and diabetes so my surgeon gave me 2 options...I could either continue with my weight loss through a supervised non-surgical program or I could elect to have him push the surgery through due to my having the high blood pressure and diabetes. It was my choice and I opted or the surgery. He was completely on board and I had my surgery this past Feb. Good luck!!! -

I absolutely LOVE my sleeve and have NO regrets at all. I know most say they wish they had done it sooner, but I think my timing is exactly when it needed to happen. I needed all the time it took before considering surgery to slowly cut down on the junk food and soda/diet soda to make changes necessary for me and my family. I and my ex husband are diabetics (I am no longer because of wls) so our kids have an even greater risk of being diabetic later in life. It was all worth it and as a result I had a lot less to lose as far as weight, and now an even more amazing chance to keep it off!

I was wondering if anyone can recommend a brand of jeans that don't gap in the back. I normally wear Lane Bryant's T3 (tighter tummy technology) jeans. Now that I am down to a sz 14 and still shrinking I can't fathom paying nearly $80 for a pair when I will size out of them soon enough. My problems with jeans is that I have a smaller waist and big butt and thighs, so regular jeans ALWAYS gap in the back. Lane Bryant has solved that problem for me the majority of my life. I am on my way to sizing out of the company entirely and need new options. I recently tried Old Navy as I saw they have styles for the "curvy" girl and are roughly $25.00...no such luck as they gap as well. Any one else have the 'gap in the back' issue...what brand of jeans do you buy/wear to combat this?

Curvy girl clothing issues...HELP!

I like that they're not as thick denim wise as traditional Levi's but yes, the waist and hips fit amazingly well. A dream come true. Whew!! -

I've found LEVI'S SIGNATURE jeans at Walmart to be the best so far. I bought two pair of size 12's a little over two weeks ago. One is is a Modern Straight (short), and the other is a Curvy Skinny. They were each $19.94. I have since sized out of them but am actually looking forward to buying them again in a size 10!!!!! -

I don't make a habit of it, nor have I consulted my nutritionist about it, but I confess to eating a bowl of cereal on occasion I haven't had any issues with the eating/drinking time frame at all.
