    Shopping

I'm down 25 lbs (sleeved 2/5). I hit Old Navy the past week and got a few tshirt-ish dresses and some jeggings with an elastic waist. The dresses I can take in easily as I (hopefully) get smaller, and they're short sleeves and light so right now I'm layering with leggings and cardigans and as it gets warmer I can get away with unlayering. The jeggings were $20 each but SO DAMN COMFY. I figured since they have a wide elastic waistband I could probably get them taken in pretty easily at the dry cleaners.

How often do you see your nutritionist?

    Thanks everyone!!
  3. Hi everyone, I just had my VSG on Feb 5...feeling good. I have my first appt with my nutritionist, and just found out insurance only approved me for 3 visits per year. This seems weird to me...I would think since I got the surgery I would be allowed to see the nutritionist more often than just every 4 months to make sure I'm taking in enough nutrients, Vitamins, etc. Or should I be relying on my PCP for that? But maybe that's just me being overly thinky. What about y'all? How often do you go to your nutritionist?
  4. Hello all! I'm so freakin excited, I get to start pureed foods Friday! I enjoy cooking and already started planning out what I want to prep and make....I miss MEAT! I'm gonna get my money's worth on my food processor. Sooooo what are your favorite purees and puree recipes? I've already bookmarked Shelley's ricotta bake and some chicken salad...what else is tasty? Give me your recs! TIA!! ????

    Weak and Swollen :-(

I'm only 1 week post op, but I'm super tired too. I had a follow-up with my Dr today and he said it's all normal, given the trauma from surgery. Hang in there! I'm ready for a nap right now....hehe...

    Just a thank you...

    ????❤ thanks everyone!!!
  7. Hi everyone, I've been lurking and reading posts here for the last few days. I got sleeved on 2/5 and while so far it's been ok (with a few typical hiccups...pun intended) it's just been overall scary. I've gone from angry at myself to proud to happy to overly excited to depressed to terrified. I know part of it is hormonal from dropping weight so quickly. But reading everyone's stories and seeing how positive, accomodating, and accepting everyone is...I feel like I've found a new home. When people in the real world don't understand, I feel I can come here and even just lurk and feel better. I'm still laying on my couch 99% of the day and hanging out on the boards here and I feel that does more for me than any Protein shake could. So, thanks, people, for just being awesome. Now I have to go cry again because that's what I do, but at least it's those, "I have a place and people" tears. ❤ Chrissy
