Another newbie getting ready for Orbera

Good plan! I carried a bucket with me those first few days and needed it as I couldn't make it to the bathroom fast enough! When I was better and started leaving the house, I kept a barf bag in my purse...just invade. I never needed it. Good luck!

I've had my balloon for 6 weeks and have lost 18lbs. I'm very happy! I was pretty sick for about 4 days after...I couldn't keep much down, but after 4 days I haven't gotten sick again. I was very weak and had some IV fluids on day 6. I remember on about day 3 it crossed my mind "what have I done". It does get better and your body does adjust. Hang in there that first week. Maybe you will be a lucky one and only have a day or two of throwing up! [emoji4]
  3. I had the balloon placed 8 days ago. I was vomiting pretty often for the first 3 days and nights but finally stopped. This week I have felt weak but no more nausea. It does get better, but those first few days were rough!

Thanks. I feel a bit better day and didn't get sick last night, but I had heartburn all night into this morning. Hope that goes away soon!

    Here we go!

Hello all. I got the balloon on Thursday. It's been two days. Still getting sick. I will ask my doctor next week but wondering if any of you have experienced this... I'm sipping lots of water and a protein water. I'm wondering if the balloon can get lodged so low that fluids can't pass? Seem like when I get sick I'm loosing all the fluid I've worked to get in me.!
