Omg you have to keep in touch! I'm so excited for you!!!! @@Marie2016 texting/ looking at my phone was very difficult for me post Anesthesia but if you can give me an update I would love to tell what little tricks helped me. If you feel gassy walk! Walking literally got me out the hospital somewhat early, calmed me down, relieved gas pain, made drinking easier... Ugh never loved my legs so much -

@@Marie2016 I am doing well.. Everyday truly does get better. I am going to be very honest... I am not getting enough protein in, I just don't want that thick consistency, I'm thirsty so I crave water, Gatorade, etc.. Also, I am hungry. People eat around me and so far I have craved ever single smell that has found its way up my nose. I layed low until today, just went to school.. Left a bit early bc I was getting very tired. So excited for puréed foods you have no idea. Ecstatic that the gas pains are gone but have this weird sensation in my throat that is very annoying. Maybe acid reflux? The tight chest when drinking feeling has been getting better every day. I truly believe that sleep, walking during the day, and staying hydrated are healing me right now. I know I need protein.... Tell me how you are.. How's it going? How do you feel? -

But how much of these things are you eating at once? Just until you are full or 4oz? -

I am 2 days post op... Trying to get my liquids in. My chest feels so tight and I'm sipping so slow. This is miserable... Pretty grateful that most of the gas pains are gone though. -

The gas pains are pretty much gone. It's more of the discomfort when I drink that is really challanging for me now. -

Hi all, it went really well but I did not expect to be in this much discomfort. My chest is just killing me. My surgery was at 1 and they won't let me drink anything until 9. My mouth is so dry. Can't lie I am hating life right now -

I'm not on any meds but definitely suffer with anxiety and the build up to surgery day is not helping. I feel that possitivity is key for you if you are genuinely considering the sleeve & you will find tons of that here. Good luck.

This time is about you. You are getting healthier and take the steps to do so. I had to sit someone down and say hey listen up I need you now more than ever so wake up and smell the coffee because support is a very big part in this. The best someone can do is acceptable but for someone to make it known that they have your back is better and it's ok for someone to go out of there way for you... You are worth and deserving. I have a pretty good support system (and to me one genuinely supportive person that allows you to be unfiltered equals a good support system) I have found so much support here.. I think you will truly find comfort here too. Hang in there... I realize how hard this count down until the big day is, it's been a struggle for me... I'm trusting strangers who have been in my shoes that tell me this is going to be the best decision of my life... And I believe them.
