  1. That it amazing on the amount you have lost. I have only lost 60 and appear to be at a wall. I have increased the working out so hopefully I will get over the hump. I'm at 216 and can't wait to get under 200. I was wearing a tight 20 and am now loose in a 18. Have some 16s that fit too. Keeping going ... and glad you are feeling good.

    6 days post op, hungry....

It gets better... it was hard... but follow your plan... and water is amazing. I used smart water it has electrolytes. Made my brain think I was doing something. Lol. I also made homemade soups for my family and ate the broth. My food is better than the packages. Lol

    Feel weak!

I was in the gym after week three for low impact (15 min) cardio. Week 6 I was cleared for 30 _45 mins and 5lb weight. Week 8 I was cleared for everything but weights under 25lbs. 90 day I was cleared and could do whatever felt good. ????

    Stomach Stretching

Fettchick83 I had my procedure Feb.1 and I was scared to over eat, terrified really. I have learned my body will make sure I'm done. If I have too much I throw up. Has happened twice and trust I won't let it happen again. Trust your body... and in trusting that means you just have to pay attention to it. It will tell you when you are satisfied. ????
  6. Hello everyone. I'm at 55lbs since surgery. I have days where I feel normal and days were I feel broken but the good outweigh the bad. Yes my hair is falling out a little so I am just very careful with my hair styles etc to put as little extra tension on it as possible. (I have long hair I would normally wear up) Other than that just day by day by day.
  7. I have had some moody moments and moments where I feel so weak I panic that I'm doing something wrong. We just all have to remember where we came from and how we got here. We have a second chance at a long healthy life. I have to take some deep breaths. .. driving know some cleansing Water and keep moving forward.
  8. I saw the doctor today. Happy with my loss but said I need more protein or I am going to start loosing muscle. I was cleared to move to high impact cardio and weight training under 40 lbs. It was great to hear that it's okay to have bad days. It was interesting because she also said if I get my protein in I will loose more weight faster. She also said... no matter what I eat make sure there is a protein. I personally am having problems with the bariatric chewable vitamins. But she said if you have a slice of whole grain bread..have it with a protein. If you have some mashed potatoes...have some chicken pieces or even lunch meat. Just make sure everything thing going in is a protein or is with a protein.
  9. Yes... I totally understand the... what now? Once I committed to the surgery that was what I thought about and studied for. I have done more research than these doctors have probably done. My weight loss has been slow and steady. 40lbs since February. But I want more ... faster .. I want to wake up and be like bam. But . . . I will find joy in all that I have done and you need to as well. We have done an amazing thing for ourselves and for those that care about us. So let's take what we were giving to stress and preparation and anxiety and use it at the gym or in our daily activities.
  10. Miss hearing from everyone ... your comments and posts reassured me that I wasn't crazy. Still learning day to day. Things I used to love no longer work for me. But like my care nurse says I try something new each week. I am patient and stopped buying food for me. I just eat off of my daughter and husbands plates when we are out. My husband knows I had the procedure done. My daughter doesn't but she gets excited that I want to share with her.
  11. Glad I'm not alone here I lost 1 lb again. I am like.... helloooo! I can't possibly eat any less.
  12. This is my first week where I have stalled and I feel so sleepy and nothing is working right. Having trouble drinking Water... it gets stuck and hurts going down. I have only been able to get 1 Protein shake down a day. The only thing that settles is cheese so now I'm scared I'm going to constipated myself. I keep reminding myslef. ... each day is a new day.
  13. I have lost 35lbs since surgery... but.. I have issues getting water down. Liquids down and food down. If I have too much broth or yogurt or whatever it comes back up. Everything I take in has to go in very very slow including water. Or it huts like it doesn't fit going down. @@martytx07 I get what you are saying because I have thought... hell. No wonder I'm loosing weight when I try to drink or eat too much it hurts... so I guess I'm greatful for it just the same.
  14. I haven't hit the water or protein goal. I just keep trying and I am really glad it's not just me... Happy 28 day anniversary... the end of our first month. ❤????????????
  15. I know the feeling. But remember that you are still recovering and healing and adapting. My doctor reminded me of of something. When we don't get enough Water with our new tummy our body will retain the water we do consum because it thinks you are starving yourself and dehydrating. So be patient with your new tummy and your new brain. Trust me... I struggle with wanting new results every day. I also struggle with wanting to be healed and wanting something normal...day by day...pound by pound. We will get there! ❤
  16. It feels so good to be moving. But man! I am out of shape!Haha me too. But little by little we can do it. This is my second week at the gym... last week I did three days, this week I will get in four days. I have to say I was already someone who went to the gym before this new tummy, but this is different. There is a emotional connection that I didn't have before and I really like it. Sweating never felt so good.
  17. Contratulations. You got thru the first week and that is the hardest.
  18. I experienced the same. My dr says that that's my body telling me I'm not ready for that food. Just eat that food another week or so and try again. Yup and I got the same response. Not ready for that. Try again... right now Greek strawberry cheese cake yogurt is my bestie.
  19. I did flip I was convinced the wine burnt a hole my my new stomach and I was dying. ... yes a bit extreme but so is blood. I was a mess till they told me I would be okay. Said it was like pouring alcohol on a fresh cut... causes it to bleed more and it hurts.
  20. TMI. Warning: I had blood in my stool and urin. Went to the doctors and they said I was bleeding and asked if I had consumed alcohol. Lol My consumption was mindless.. and it hurt when I drank it.
  21. Wow... I had sips and ended up bleeding.
  22. And my doctor reminded me. You didn't get here over night. ???? I was like. . . It seemed like it. . . But he is right. We will get there and we just have to be strong and stay patient. ????
  23. 3 lbs down from last week. I only weigh in on Monday mornings. I have to send the numbers to my doctor so I decided I would only weigh when I need to do it for him so that I wouldn't drive myself nuts.
  24. I'm the same. I was telling my husband it's like if I have 2oz in one meal the next meal I can only get 1oz. It takes over an hour to drink my 10 Oz Protein shake.
  25. Hope everyone had a great weekend. I'm feeling stronger and smarter every day. But get these weird hicups. Like my new stomach pulls in air. It's crazy really and every time it happens I start laughing. I hope this isn't forever. ????????
