Calling all February 1st Sleevers!

Whoa! Did you feel ok? I couldn't imagine how that would feel!!!! Glad you caught yourself!I felt okay afterwards but I understand why they say no alcohol for 6 to 8 weeks.Mine made me sign a contract saying I understood no alcohol for 3 months and that even then it would only take a few sips to get me tipsy.Well now I have blood in my stool and have to double up on these meds that they prescribe to heal our tummy. How a tiny little .... oops... can bite us in the butt. I bet I don't forget that again. -

You don't have to blend the eggs. And i was allowed Greek yogurt and cottage cheese. Kind of like what you could feed a baby. -

Yesterday I went to a friends after work and like normal she handed us all a glass of wine. I thought nothing of it forgot all about the fact that I have a new stomach and took a sip of wine. My body reminded me immediately that it was not ready for alcohol and I felt that wine burn all the way down into every crevice of my stomach. My face turned bright red I got hot and I started to panic I grab some water and started sipping on water. I won't be making that mistake again an ytime soon. -

Lol! Our doctors are so different lol. I was cleared as of Monday for the gym - same as you low impact cardio but 5 - 20lb weights. BUT my sweet overprotective husband said I can wait on going to the gym until I'm fully recovered. He's so worried I'll mess something up but I really want to go. I do have the tendency to go hard and I think that's what he's worried about but I won't overdo it! Anyways, maybe he'll go with me this weekend and see that I'll be fine. I love him for caring but I'm ready to get to work! My husband was terrified. I promised I would only do the bike on day 1. I did the bike for 25 minutes and that was it. Day 2 I did 15 minutes on the elliptical I could feel a difference on the elliptical than on the bike so I cut it short. Day three yesterday, I did a three mile slow walk. It helps me sleep better and it makes me crave more water so it helps getting my fluids. I'm just going with the flow and easy motto. Hopefully your husband goes with you this weekend and you could find a nice steady pace to get moving. -

All our different food stages are funny to me. I have good and bad food experiences. Smashed beans went down fine one time next tome I got 2 tsp. Down and almost got sick. But day by day... I'm more excited that I was cleared to go to the gym. Woooooo hoooooo..... I can only do low impact cardio.. and no weights or ab. Work. But it still feels good to move. ???? -

Soooo... I'm supposed to weigh myself and track it today but I feel swollen and bloated and don't want to get on the scale and risk being heavier than I was at the beginning of the week.???? I hated clear liquids but I want to go back just so I can't gain any weight. ???? I feel like a lunatic. ???????? -

I had potatoe soup. .. which is way thicker than broth and I just put it in my ninja to make sure I didn't have anything big. I read that to protect our new tummy what we have should be able to be consumed through a straw. Don't eat using a straw but that is the rule on how dense. -

I already get puree. I get soft foods starting this weekend. Which I don't really understand. I have been told to stay away from carbs but some of the soft foods they list are Mac n cheese & oatmeal. ????I was told soft oatmeal is fine but never heard of Mac and cheese. Every doctor is different I guess. Hope you enjoy ☺️ I'm scared????... don't want to introduce carbs back yet. I went through carb withdrawals and that wasn't cute. I felt horrible. ???? And there isn't enough fiber in our diets to support that quantity of cheese. ???????? -

At age 66 years old we told no one except l daughter and a nurse we had the sleeve. We go out to eat, sharing a plate, or get a go box, or eat light, because we are watching what we eat. I walked an entire mall five days after the sleeve, a little slow, enjoying myself. Because I was bored. Take a week off. No one has x-ray vision and can see you had surgery. Pack your lunch, Protein shake, Water, and broth. It was wonderful not telling anyone we knew about our sleeve. It was aggravating just to have them comment on our dieting and how woooooonderful it was. That is great. I went back to work on day 3. I just moved slower than normal. I sit at a desk and I am very busy so it helped keep my mind off all the craziness and weird feelings I was having. Everyone thinks I am on this hard core diet and lecture me on how I am setting myself up for failure etc. Gotta love people... sheesh... but I take it in stride knod and smile. Glad you are happy with your little secret as well. ????

You went from 333my to 228 in 10 days and they don't think you did great? Who cares what others did you are you and amazing. My bad typo was 233 then gained 11 pounds in hospital so was 244 when I got home Either way... don't compare you with others. We all loose at our own rate. We learn from each other and gain insight but we are not all going to be the same. You be proud of you... forget him. ???? -

I Only get 1 down. 1/2 on the morning and 1/2 at dinner and i add ice to it and put it in the ninja... takes away the extra sweet taste and thins it out so it goes down better. This morning I added 1/3 of a banana... I am horribly potassium deficient and the pills are killing me with this new tummy because they are so big. I cut them in 1/2 and they are still challenging. Do you not crush your pills? That's what my doctor told me to do is better than swallowing. I'm glad I'm not the only one that is only drinking one a day lol. I'm not supposed to crush the potassium ... not sure why. I take room other pills and they are capsules so they go down easy. I take a blood pressure pill and it can be broken but not crushed or chewed. -

So I had a panic attack because I have not lost any weight since Sunday. :- < I had to talk myself down and remind me that everything is a process and that my body is adjusting to the surgery too... and give it more time. Woooooo sawwwwwww!
