I had surgery Wed. Now today my stomach is bloated and I was burping uncontrollably. Finally I took some Milk of Magnesia and things are subsiding. After taking my meds, it all started again. Does anybody have any advice? Sent from my XT1030 using the BariatricPal App

I am scheduled for lap band surgery on the 24th and now that the time to start my liquid diet is near, I feel I need to explain this all to my 5 and 10 year old. I also teach 2nd grade and I am unsure what to tell the kids about why I will be out for a week. Does anyone have advice on talking to children about the lap band? Thanks!
