    Sensitive subject

Im the opposite! Sex at 307 was painful and difficult. 41 pounds down I am starting to feel energy again and able to move better. I coud still happily sleep sometimes though - although I only see my fella 2 times a week so plenty of me time too.

    Feeling miserable

I went for McDonalds breakfast with my boyfriend on Sat. He had a double sausage mcmuffin, 2 hash browns ( they are bigger in the UK ) and a coke. I had the egg from his mcmuffin served seperately and a coffee. I just about managed the egg and took the coffee away to drink later. I felt no hunger towards the food at all, and in fact watched streams of people shove fatty crap food in their mouths and was amazed how much and how fast they ate. It was a good 30 mins people waching moment. I feel your pain OP tho

    Alcohol?

I had a glass of red wine at the weekend. I hated it really and I was one that pre op drank every night ( at least a full bottle ) It tasted strong and acidy and not nice. It was a relief tbh as I would prefer not to drink much anymore. I wont bother again till I go on vacation in May
  4. Uk - I paid £8000 equivalent to around $12,000

    No alcohol ever?!

I plan to have the odd glass of red wine, I've no intention of stopping that. It's all about eating and drinking in moderation like a normal slim person. I don't snack ever, eat sliders foods or drink soda. My culprit that caused weight gain was big big meals and buffets. That's totally out now and never going back, but a glass of wine will be fine.
  6. Im currently in my three week stall. Weight has stayed at 273 for the past week. Im just sticking to the plan and hoping it will start to shift again soon

    Fear of not waking up!

I read a really good article by a doctor ( sorry I cannot find now ) which basically said the risk of death from anaesthesia in a WLS patient was about the same as a HEALTHY woman dying when giving birth ! I found that extraordinary as no one would worry about dying when going into labour. It put things into perspective for me and I found my fears less.

    One for the ladies!

I used a tampon when I had my surgery. Was told no problem. All they wanted to know was if I had any metal on or in me lol. I'm UK - it seems less restricted than in the USA
  9. In the UK - WLS is still rather rare. I've told lots of people and met with good luck and awe. People want to know what's involved and what I can eat etc I can easily loose weight ..... But I simply cannot maintain it. People are used to seeing me massive or slim lol

    Shiann Friesen

Who is this? Can you provide some background for your question? I had no idea either lol but googled and watched the video. Whilst the shop assistant's sentiments are in the right place - she could have handled it better ! I'm surprised actually that a Walmart employee would care that much about cheap jumpers. I feel a bit sorry for her and feel she was a bit set up by this so called Vlogger.

    Excess Skin Issues

When I lost weight before and had " the skin " after bathing - I would lie down after towel drying, lift the skin up and dry it completely with a hair dryer on low heat setting. This would make sure the air got to the skin and then I would powder with a medicated powder. That prevented infection as the germs love dark moist places

    Alcohol... ????

I'm looking forward to a very small glass of red wine with a meal.

    9 Month Progress Pics

Wow ! Amazing. I love the way your chin has shaped up great
  14. In 2011 - I weighed 330 pounds. Through stress and separating from my husband, I lost 147 pounds and looked like my avatar picture ( 183) This crept back to around 210 and I maintained that until mid 2015. I had immense stress from an injury claim I had against my ex employer and the weight piled on ! I went from 212 to 307 in 8 months ! Every week I felt fatter and fatter and so angry that I had put all the weight back on ! I was bumping into doorways or falling over as I couldn't judge my size. My knees were hurting, and no attention for me when I went out with my mates. I was essentially ignored as the " fat " one. I couldn't fit into a theme park ride ( soooo embarrassing ) and my blood pressure was going sky high. Luckily I got a decent settlement for my claim and within 2 days I'd booked self pay to have the sleeve done three weeks later ! The surgeon could see I " could " lose weight if I wanted to so he agreed to operate I started the pre op diet on 1st Jan and operated on 16th Jan. I've lost 32 pounds thus far ! I still see myself as the girl in the avatar pic. That's the real me, not this fat lump at the moment. I've lost these " pounds " hundreds of times before yo yoing between obese and slimmish. I am determined this is the last time I lose these pounds yet again !!
