    What a concept...

Inspirational words. I was watching a video on you tube about our brains/minds doing what we tell them to do, consciously or subconsciously. If we tell ourselves we are not going back to where we came from then we won't. What power that is!

    2years post op

I'm only 8.5 months out but I have already stopped following the right path and gone back to overeating and eating slider foods. Thanks for sharing your stories because it brings to light the struggles that we face and if we don't nip them in the bud they continue to persist.
  3. Congrats! You look fabulous and I'm sure you feel fabulous. Your goal is right around the corner [emoji471]

    Falling back on old ways!!

Old ways sneak back easy it's almost unbelievable how fast you can slip back into those habits! I'm finding out more and more that this whole weight loss thing is mental. changing the relationship with food is one of the keys to unlocking the food addiction.
  5. Hey y'all, I'm 8.5 months post sleeve. I did really well the first 5 months, quickly dropping from my SW of 255 to about 183 within 5.5 months. At the 6th month mark I started stalling, gaining and losing the same couple of pounds over and over. This despite the fact that I followed the NUT advice to a T and worked out frequently. I got discouraged and disappointed because in the past I had lost more weight on my own without the surgery and here I was still struggling to lose weight after a drastic surgery [emoji35]. Disappointment coupled with a breakup that was long overdue created the perfect conditions for my food addiction to rear it's ugly head [emoji22]. From about month 6 to now I've been over eating slider foods, avoiding the Proteins and just been a horrible WLS patient. My question is, is it over for me? Have I stretched my sleeve to the point of no return? My surgeon is ok with my weight (183lbs) but I would like to get down to atleast 150lbs but with each new day I feel like I'm getting further and further away from my goal. I'm disappointed and frustrated with myself and it's making my life miserable [emoji22]. Why the heck can't I get my ish together and get this done? Any advice is appreciated[emoji846]

Thanks for the advice. I know I can do it, I just need to get out of my own way and use the tool as it's to be used.

    Low Energy

Not sure what my target is. I went through diet advancement 1.5 weeks ago so I'm eating according to that chart. No more than 4 oz in protein shakes, 1 oz of fish, chicken, deli turkey and soft veggies. No way I can get more than 300-400 calories eating that. I started on the b12 and today I felt somewhat normal [emoji4]

    Ate too fast... Lesson learned

I eat poached eggs and other than feeling stuffed they go do pretty smooth. I'll stay away from scrambled eggs, yummy as they look [emoji12]

    Low Energy

I'm almost 6 weeks post op and struggle with low energy. I feel like I have to drag my feet to get around. I'm pretty sure I'm not getting enough calories. I'm eating about 200 cals per day. Upping the water, taking b12 and adding some calories to see how I feel
  14. Yeah girl! Keep up the good work!

What I wish I had known...

Awesome post thanks for sharing. I'm exactly one month post op today, time sure does fly. During this one month I quickly realized that food was my be all and end all. I lived to eat!! My one mistake pre-op was not figuring out what I'd do to fill in the blanks once food is gone. I'm working with a therapist to try and build a life without food being the cornerstone. As for hormones, I'm single so do not have the joy of sharing that rush with someone I didn't tell anyone about my surgery. Told my co workers I'm having a hernia repair. I'd hate to be under the microscope. If anyone asks how I'm losing weight, clean eating, working out and plenty of sleep. That outta shut them up
  18. I was sleeved almost 4 weeks ago and one thing for sure is less ankle and knee pain. I walked for about 4 miles yesterday and didn't need to ice my ankles after! Still new at this and looking forward to more NSVs [emoji3]
