    2/9 Surgery Date Team

LOL I'm awake It's Time... How are you and the 2/9 team? I'm 45 pounds down and enjoying my new body. Eat what I want just in small quantities. If I eat too much of course I pay for it with stomach pain and sometimes vomiting. Some days I can eat something, try it the next day and my body says NO. That's a huge struggle for me right now. Exercise is fair. I walk 10,000 to 12,000 each day, but I need to lift more. My tummy is not as firm as I would like. My husband thinks I'm too small and I've been dealing with that. Daughter thinks the same. In return I've purposely not tried to drop anymore weight. I would be down 50 easy by now if I would drink the Protein and not eat chips and salsa and other stuff I should avoid. Hopefully, it blows over and I'll get to 50 and just may try to stop. My goal weight loss originally was 70 pounds. I don't think I will be healthy looking if I get past 50 pounds down. How is everyone else doing??

Getting close to 40 pounds down. Experiencing mixed feelings about where I am on my progress. So far it has been: Family thinking I look too thin or sick. Constantly feeling like I need to tone. Having trouble figuring out my true goal weight versus what I originally thought before surgery. Still having issues with food; what works with my tummy and what does not. Also, I have NO Butt. It's flat, flat, did I mention my butt is flat? Geezs... On the up side. I look great and clothes look good on me. People are nicer and pay more attention to me as I'm more pleasing to the eyes. Honestly, it's all a lot to take in within a two month time period. How about everyone else?

Eating while out of town... Well, family traveled out of state for our daughter's softball tournament and I ate horrible!! Restaurants - Buffalo Wild Wings, IHOP, Subway, McDonald's, Small Town Restaurants Ate when not hungry Kept something in my mouth at the games... Candy! Didn't have Protein shakes Sampled foods high in calories and sugar Felt bloated Had 2 free alcoholic beverages I worked out 4 days last week, ate bad for 3 and the result is weight gain!!! Time to get back to my routine ugh...

Welcome Lauriessp! We are happy to have you join the 2/9 Team! I eat honey crisp apples LOL! It all gives me a uncomfortable feeling afterwards so it's all the same to me. Try a little and then see if your tummy will keep it down without pain. Good luck!

Protein 50g 500-700 calories. Food is not my friend anymore. If I eat, makes my tummy hurts. I just eat as much as I can, drink as much as I can and move on. I weigh daily to help me figure out what foods work well with working out and weigh gain or loss. Sounds weird, but it's working for me. I am concerned that I may get too small, but not much I can do about it now. Dr. Said things will improve where I will enjoy food again, so we will see. Meanwhile, the pounds are coming off and I'm trying to keep up with clothes and trying to tone.

Don't stress as you know the scale will move soon. I get 10,000 steps in 5 days a week. I also lift 8pd weights at home at night. I'm basically burning over 1/2 of the calories I eat each day. Let's keep each other motivated!!

Happy Resurrection Sunday to you and all of our 2/9 Team. I just read your post on the way to church and agree with you. Food does not have the same meaning as it did in the past, which is a good thing. For me I'm working out a lot and I look forward to my morning weigh-in. A few ounces a day keeps me focused and on track. I go back and fourth between starting the liquids again until I hit 70% of my weight loss, but it's not realistic for me right now. I'm enjoying eating, logging, then exercising to burn off what I ate that day lol!

Congrats on not eating the cookie:) I like that strategy and I may even try it for a few days lol! I'm so done with the shakes... I need a little variety.

    Self pay- positives?

Start with a surgeon and set up a consultation. Once you decide on a doctor, their team with help you with insurance or explain fees and discuss if they accept CareCredit.
  15. It's kinda like FB or any other social networking site. Keep playing with it and you will get it. Welcome!!
  16. Things I've noticed 4 weeks after surgery: 1. As my body shrinks, I kinda have a butt now. 2. I'm slowly able to put clothes which are too big in a bag to donate. 3. I make time to get 10,000 steps per day. 4. Finally considering a personal trainer. 5. I sleep better than before. 6. My shoes fit better than before. 7. My face is slimmer. 8. I smile a lot more. 9. I am more conscious about how I look when I leave the house. 10. I have no regrets about the sleeve. Best medical decision I have ever elected to do in my life!!

Ate something off this list... BIG Mistake!!!! I have my 6-week check up post op tomorrow. Weighed this morning down a couple of pounds this week. Went to church feeling pretty good today and decided to stop at Chili's for guacamole, salsa and chips for the family. I ate 4 chips really slow with salsa and guacamole and thought I was okay. Ten minutes later I'm having chest, back, and stomach cramps. Pain so bad I had to pull out the liquid pain meds from surgery! Ten minutes after that I'm vomiting non-stop. I feel weak, exhausted, and flat out terrible. Please don't let this happen to you. Let my story be enough pain for us both! Never again!

Yep, just have the fear in the back of my head that this too will fail just like every other diet I've tried. I think that's why I didn't tell anyone I had the surgery. I just have to be strong to make this work!
