After waiting for 8 months, I finally have approval from my insurance company. Now... I have to lose the weight I've gained over the long depressing winter before I can have the surgery! I need some tips on safely losing 5-10 lbs quickly. I am a failure at losing weight so far and need some advice. Thanks, bonbon

I am from Hudson and my surgeon is in Hillsdale. THe waiting is hard, but the weight loss on my own is harder!! I haven't lost any weight and have actually gained over the holidays. If I do get approved, they will probably make me wait since I haven't lost any in the 6+ months I've been waiting!

Hi everyone. I am very discouraged right now. I becan the process in May 07 and have not yet been approved by insurance. I am 150 lbs overweight, diabetic, high BP, high cholesterol, acid reflux, the whole bit! I am feeling like a failure and need some encouragement. I rely on God and think maybe this surgery is not supposed to happen afterall. I just can't believe that God would want me to feel or look like this. He made my body and I have ruined it!
