    I live in the Birmingham area. Dr. Schmitt did my surgery on August 7, 2007. I have lost 56 pounds so far. I am getting my 5th fill today.

    Welcome! I just found this site yesterday also. I live in Alabama also. I had my lapband done the beginning of August. Good luck with everything. I would call and stay on top of the Dr. office. I can't hurt. I hope you have a date soon.
