    Approved,but Only At 75%

I called my insc.co. they said I have no max. on out-of-pocket expenses. Also the 75% only applies to bariatric surgery only. I'm no longer actively working & I'm not 59 1/2 years old so I can't withdraw from my 401k without a large penalty nor can I take out a loan from them. Thank you all for your replies.

    Got banded in Springfield MO??

HOLLYGURL= I've just been approved by my insc. They're paying 75% & my co-pay is 25% for surgery and all related cost. But I understand this is not the norm. JohnC

Macmadam, That's a good thought, I'll check that out. jtorie, I understand I can protest it after the surgery. Thanks for your suggestions guys.
  4. I agree with kossde. All cruises I've been on there's been food everywhere you turn, and I never had the willpower to walk away from it, after all it's vacation. But if you have the surgery first then the band will probably put the brakes on for you. Plus there's the chance you could gain back the 17 Lbs. you've lost plus some extra. Good luck.
  5. My wife was dead set against the lapband when I first brought it up to her,( by the way her BMI is probably as high as mine with as many co-morbidities) but after her doing a lot of research on the web, she's done a 180. She surprised me the other day when she told me that if everything goes well with my surgery & weight loss that she might consider having it done herself. There's a chance your DH may look at it differently after getting used to the idea. JohnC

  8. My Bmi Has Been Bouncing The Last 5yrs. As Well. My Insc. Co. Requires My Bmi. To Be At Least 40 At The Time Of Application, But My Dr. Requires Me To Have Been Obese The Last 5 Years. Good Luck
