I guess every physician handles the fills differently. My band can be filled to a maximum of 4 CC. I am currently at 3 CC's. I have had at least 6 fills to get to that point. My weight has been the same for at least two weeks. I am going in to see the Dr. again on the 12th. I would like to try one more fill and see if I can still get food and water down. I believe that I am at almost full capacity and I am not sure if I can go to the full 4 CC's. I am like you in that I lose very slowly and my body is very resistant. At my clinic you can get as many adjustments as you like in the first year at no additional cost. After that you pay a flat rate for 3 months worth of adjustments. My one year will be up April 11th so I want to try and get to the right place by then. They tell us that if you are getting hungry between meals than you are probably still in need of additional fills. Let that be your guide. Good luck with everything.

Hi, this is my first posting. I had my lap band on April 11, 2007. I had several fills and then started having problems with more frequent vomiting. I am not just talking slime, but the real thing. I was at 2 CC's full so they didn't want to fill me again. However, I wasn't losing much weight over a three month period and was getting very frustrated. I went in and their was a new PA working who also had the band. I discussed my history and she filled me a whole CC, up to 3. The problem has went away now and I am rarely having any of the symptoms. I get full quicker and it seems that things don't get stuck as much. Are you still losing? It is easy to think that the band is too tight, but in my case it was the opposite. I think that everyone has to experiment a little and see what is right for them. Right after the adjustment I lost 14 more lbs.
