I myself wore them until my inscision were properly healed, about 1 month out. Spanxs are great, I need to go and buy me some new ones, not only do they slim you, they also help your overall posture. Congrats on your surgery...and good luck on the scale going only down from now !

Right there with you... it seems my nose got bigger, my boobs got smaller, i got taller, but my feet got smaller.. go figure..even my fingers lost weight..but i can live with how i look now anyday to how i looked like before! LOL !

Bigjedda, I'm sorry to hear about what you are going through, but like everybody else said on here.. if can't support you trying to be healthy then you do not need him. I experienced a similar reaction from my husband. Even though I did not feel that I had changed..when I sat back and thought it thru, I realized that I did. My self esteem sky rocketed and I started shopping and trying to look better and better. I guess you can say I went overboard with myself.. wish is not bad, after loosing 100 lbs I felt I deserved it.. but I kind of steered all my attention away from him, without realizing it. Could this be what is happening?? Good luck to you, and I believe what is meant to be is meant to be.. if you really love him, give him some time and he'll come around and if he doesnt.. then he is not worth it! I just read your blog.. what a beautiful story. I had my surgery in Oct. of 2007. I was sitting here trying to think of what I brought with me to my surgery and I'm having trouble recalling what I brought with since I actually had my surgery in Mexico. I remember having to walk the gas from the anesthesia out, so take comfy clothes and shoes you can walk in. A great book and chapstick might also come in handy. I was up and shopping 2 days after surgery. Well good luck and I look forward to reading about your journey!

Hi, everyone, I was 27 and I am 30 now - would of done it sooner, if I had found out about it. I actually found out about it 1 week and had the surgery 2 weeks later.. I was sure this was going to work..Thankfully it did, from a size 16 to a size 8, from 243 lbs to 144... almost 3 years later.. I would do it all over again..

So what where your symptoms? Sorry I can't be any help. Hope you get some medical advice from somebody and you get back on the loosing track :thumbup:

I totally feel you.. I was myself was trying to figure out my mood swings, but after just reading your blog today, I just realized what you wrote makes alot of sense.. ooh the good old days, when our best friend (food) never let us down. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Brittlover, Hi, there! I feel what you mean completely. I am in a 2 year relationship, and have not come clean. I actually had gallbladder surgery after my lapband, so I have a couple of more scars than you I am sure. I did mention the gallbladder surgery to my boyfreind, but I would not know how to mention the lapband, he met me 1 yr and 1/2 after it and by that time I had already lost most of my weight. I am pretty lucky that my port is not as noticible, but the scars are horrible. I have reached my goal weight and its time for my tummy tuck, so the scars and my saggy skin is just so awful. He on the other hand says that I am beautiful as is and does not support the tummy tuck issue. I guess what I am trying to ramble about is that, the right guy will not mind the scars,,,, and you are not alone in your insecurities.

I wish i knew that i nasty "pbing" feeling, i would get with certain foods, or that everyday would be different as far as eating, 1 day i can eat anything and the next day...everything gets stuck... Don't get me wrong though - i sit back now-100 lbs and i would still have chosen the band! I love my band !!

Hi everyone, I was banded on 10/2006 - have lose 88 LBS to date, went from size 16 to 8 now! I am from Conroe, TEXAS ! - 30 mins from Houston.

This is so bizarre, when I read some of these posts, its like reading my thoughts outloud. Do any of you think that maybe the weight loss, had a major role to play in our mixed emotions? I for one started having problems with my husband as I started to reach my goal weight. Its as of my self-esteem sky rocketed and sometimes I have to ground myself and get a reality check. It is just so hard to go thru divorce when there are children involved. I have a 8 yr old and a 2yr old and I would hate for them to go through all that so I stay. My case differs in my situation, I was the unfaithful one - and even though I try to justify it with not getting the attention I needed at the time, it just wasnt right. We separated for 4 months and during the holidays I allowed him to come back home for the children, and in my heart I thought things would fall back into place. But it only made things worse. Now there is trust issues of course on his part and even when I'm trying to make the relationship work, the past comes back to haunt us and its a never ending cycle. I know I have caused to much pain and it is better if we part ways, but he is so obsessed with me, its smothering. Does anybody understand a hint of what I'm going thru?

i also have a 3 month old, just recieved a fill on Sat and I can't wait for this wieght to come off. How is everthing going now. I had a complete unfill as well, Sat was my first fill so I gained the weight back after my baby and some, would like to hear how its going for you

I waited 6 weeks, I got my first fill on Sat., but I am missing my food already, I think i might be too tight.

ICUWALSH does being to tight associate with a band slippage ? Just wondering, i think i might be too tight, i got my first fill after my pregnancy on Sat and I'm doing liquids and they seem to be coming back up as well.

Thanks for sharing your story, you have done very well. Saturday will be my 1 year anniversary . I lost a total of 58 lbs in 8 months and then found out I was pregnant. I am now 4 months pregnant and should be delivering a lapband baby in March of 2007. You have lost so much in so little time, only the brightest and healthiest future is sure to come. May you have success thru all your journey and keep us posted with your updates.

Guess what Lioness81970, ... I just found out last night that I am pregnant!!! Now I need to get on the phone with my doctors to try to find out, what I do next, I tought it was very odd , that no matter what I did, I did not loose any weight this last month. - I have a 5 yr old and she is thrilled and my husband is estatic!! I only lost 53lbs but hey, I will get back on track after the baby, right? I will find out how far I am in two weeks, but I am guessing about 4-6 weeks out.

I'm very happy for you... just remember things work out a for a reason. Do not even focus on the wieght gain, once you will see your baby in your arms it will be worth every pound gained. I like the names you picked out, but Isabella stands out, that name is very pretty. I'm just curious, though, have you had any other complication with your pregancy because of the band? How soon after the pregancy did you have to get an unfill? I'm just trying to get info for me, since I had been trying to get pregnant for 2 years before the band and just in case and if with this weightloss I might get lucky!

My name is Leti and I am from Conroe Texas, about 30 minutes from Houston. I had my surgery in October and I have lost 42 lbs so far - not a whole lot, but I am also needing to get my butt back on excersicing as well. Hope to hear from you soon...

Have you tried the Curvy jeans at Old Navy??, They are not low waisted they are actually at a perfect medium. You should try some of those next time you are in the store.. these are the only jeans that actually fit me just right all the other ones they carry do not fit right.

I'm from the Conroe area, I was emailed a schedule for the meeting a month ago but was unable to attend to the Cafe Express meeting - when is the next meeting? Glad to hear there is alot of nieghbors rocking the same boat, I for one reason felt like the only person around with this surgery. Hope to get to meet you guys, ya'll sound great and very informative as well

I'm going through this as well, I went from 243lbs, size 16 down to 199lbs same size, only difference is that my shirt size went from xl to medium, the only thing I am loosing are the twins... Can't wait till I go down a pant size.

Thank you for starting this thread, I was looking for a fill doctor myself since my current doctor out of College Station is no longer doing fills. Thanks again, its so great to have this board.
