Syndy started following Fill Dates - How many weeks for you?, Low Blood Pressure, Is anyone else starting to lose their hair? and and 7 others
-
Hi Fellow bandsters Sorry for the late update but i finally received my results from my primary physician and everything came back NORMAL!!! He checked everything from my Vitamin levels to my kidney and liver levels. He did explain to me that while we are loosing weight our blood pressure is going to drop and since i had no other side effects (head aches, dizziness, light headed) then I am ok. For my hair loss (i started loosing more and more hair within the last couple of weeks) he told me to take Biotin so i went and bought some at wal-mart and started taking that this weekend. :scared2: Thank you for your support!

Is anyone else starting to lose their hair?
Syndy replied to Mom2_4's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I have also noticed a significant amount of hair loss and it is scary because i already have thin hair. When i went to my followup last week i asked them about it and asked if there was anything else i could do or take to help with it. My doctor and nutritionist both told me to start taking Biotin. I just started on it though so i can not tell you if it is working or not. I'll keep you updated though. -
well, when I first starting going to the appointments I was at 120/80 and post op (at the end of Feb) it dropped to 110/70 or something like that and my last appointment (Last Wednesday) it was at 90/60. I dont think my belly is swollen and I have gotten dizzy a couple of times but its not an all the time thing. I have been getting some headaches but living in San Antonio, i kind of just blamed them on allergies.

I went for my adjustment last wednesday and while they were checking my vitals they noticed that my blood pressure is dropping. Before operation I never had high blood pressure, I was always at normal; however, every appointment that i have had after the operation my blood pressure has been dropping lower and lower every time i go in. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this issue. I have an appointment this wednesday morning with my primary physician because the P.A. at True Results are not allowed to order blood work. I started looking up stuff on the internet and I think I am scaring myself now.

Hi! I have my 3rd fill this afternoon at 4. I am currently at 6.6cc's. I am not sure how much of a fill i will get today but I am not at my sweet spot yet. I am still getting hungry between meals and try not to snack but when i do i try to go for a sugar free jello or a sugar free popsicle.

Sharp pain in port area
Syndy replied to Christine631's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
hi Christine, I was just wondering if you had called the doctor and if you did what did they tell you. I just started feeling this pain last night but i am only about 2 and a half months post op. -
I am glad to hear that other people are experiencing this. I thought it was me. A friend of mine and I went through the procedure about 2 weeks apart from each other and she has not experienced this yet. I could not figure out what I was doing wrong. For the last month I have been weighing myself once a week and there has still been a couple of weeks that my weight does not change at all. I feel like I am too early in the game to be plateau-ing. I dont drink any sodas at all (not even diet) and did not pick up a lot of the habbits that i had before surgery. I work out at least 3 times a week and more if my schedule allows me to. I get frustrated but after reading this i can see that i am not alone and i just need to keep on pushing myself foward. We can do this!

My doctor gave me an instruction sheet that said no eating 5 hours before the procedure and no liquids (not even water) 1 hour before the procedure... then after that i am on clear liquids for 2 days; mushies for 2 days and then back to normal... I go for my 2nd fill tomorrow.
