thanks for your post I saw my doctor this morning and he removed some fluid I do not know if it was in the band or what but he said now I will get hungry I swallowed a sip of water before I left his office and that went down okay but I have not been taking small, small sips and I have had this only since tuesday and a hernia repair and the hernia was big also I ate like a container of sf jello the 6 or 8 ounce little package maybe that was too much I feel like I need this thing out will it be better to sip all day and eat 1/4 c of jello - pudding- soft things will things get better please help

someone help please I have little air bubbles and burping and losing whatever I drink plus I have many meds to take with small sips of water I am miserable I can not keep anything down am afraid I will dehydrate I am on dialysis too so I need to watch fluid intake but this is an extreme low amount of fluid I can keep in what do I do banded tuesday some fluid taken out today it is sat and I feel like I need to have it removed I have been taking more than small sips but not much I can not keep down a ice pop please help desperate

i was banded on tues and had the hernia thing done I had to go this morning and the doc removed some fluid - I was burping a little and could not keep anything down if I sip or have a little soup - comes back up will this ever get better I thought I was better but the same things are happening does this ever get better it will be a week tuesday I am very depressed and miserable and afraid this is not going to work for me please help after you are better - what does a day's worth of food look like can I ever have like half a sandwich, half a fruit for lunch I am thinking I made a horrible mistake

I am being banded on tues a doctor here had a band in Nov and now she is dead she died of a massive infection she was 38 and has twins that just turned 2 she was on vacation in colorado and thought she had altitude sickness and she died in her sleep on Nov 24 her husband, an attorney, said she second guessed herself, being a doctor, and did not go to a doctor so- this doctor was banded in my town maybe by the same doctor I am being banded by this worries me I thought no one has ever died from anything to do with the band please tell me what you think I am also a dialysis patient and see a doctor every Monday at dialysis and I have blood work done and temps and things should I feel safer would this worry you I am afraid but need to lose weight to get on a kidney transplant list the problem is not so much as losing the weight as I can not trust myself to lose it and keep it off please help thanks

I should have been banded in july but the doc had to postpone my appointment then I had to have parathyroid surgery then my calcium was too low for surgery then I was to be baned on 12/9 but the receptionist forgot to schedule me so now I have to wait until 12/16 - if they have an appointment open my heart rate is so high over all this stress plus I have the stress of dialysis I am so upset

I will be 60 on Dec 23 and feel like I am too old to get a lap band I am on dialysis and need to lose some to be placed on a transplant list on the other thread I did not mention my age and I did mention dialysis and I freaked them out - it was in a chat room they asked my age and I just signed off I need to lose 80 -100 lbs but 30 lost would get me on the transplant list please give me advice can anyone please add what you eat in one day if you are past the healing point where you eat regular foods and thanks so much

I read on another forum that with the band you are hungry but can not do anything about it due to vomitting I will be banded on the 9th of december after two other cancelations and I am worried

50 is the new 30 then I am only a mere 40

how can you eat big if you have a lap band your weight loss looks good to me

I am having a hard time stayng on the two week diet-- protein drink twice and then two small meals hope everything goes fine for you seems to me like if you gain that should indicate you really need the surgery...Twirl

I thought you would not get hungry at all do you get less hungry with the band or when you were dieting on you own also is your password about 8 numbers I am not sure about anything

please tell me where I go to write information about myself and what to do to get a cute graph line of my weight to lose and where do I get a cute graphic to place by my name very new to this not new to trying to be approved by insurance second try for that waiting for results you are doing great hope to follow your success

the people will notice how you are eating so much less tell them and be proud of yourself

you sound like me I turned in all my paper work and am waiting to find out if I am approved or not went on a 6 month exercise program and was told could not apply becuause I did not do a food journal or an exercise journal that was not told to me until after the 6 month period that I paid $35 / wk to exercise good luck
