Hi All - Iwas banded in January '08 and am on doxycycline for a minor skin infection. My dermatologist warned me about heartburn being a common side effect but seeing as I'm banded, the heartburn and chest tightness is pretty intense. I have a call into my surgeon but was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience? Thanks!

I am staying on plan today because of the beautiful dresses on display in the stores

I sure as hell took phen phen - lost a load of weight and looked fantastic. Once off the market, I gained it all back. Loved it because it zapped hunger - have found lap band to be a savior for the exact same reason, but have developed a new lifestyle because of the cost and surgical intrusion to my body. Lap band is no quick fix - phen phen was.

So I'm in the shower last week, soaping up as usual. I feel an egg-sized cyst where my upper ribs and right breast meet. It's not too hard, and I can move it with my fingers. I'm alarmed only because of it's size and location. I just may be the luckiest bandster in the world because my wonderful surgeon (Dr. Woody Denham) is five blocks east of my condo, and he's affiliated with the same hospital as my internist and OBGYN. Fun fact - I was born there 45 years ago :w00t: Anyhoo, his staff heard the fear in my voice (near the breast, 45 years old, etc) and asked me to come in as soon as I dried off. One hour later, my dear surgeon assured me that I had a harmless lipoma (fatty cyst) that has most likely been there for years. No link to obesity and quickly removed with one afternoon off work. Reason I felt it? Rapid weight loss :tongue2: It's weird, scary and fun all at the same time! Love to all - Jill

Hi Knockouts! It may seem premature, as I've only lost 30 lbs., but my body is changing so much even at 1/3 toward goal. I'm lucky that I won't need major reconstruction when I hit goal. I salute and admire all the bandsters who have endured plastics to be the best they can be. As much as I don't want to endure it, I can't deny that I'll require a breast reduction/lift when I reach goal. Does anyone have experience with this procedure or think they will eventually require it?

I'm officially shopping in the Misses section - broke down and cried in the dressing room. Called my Mom from the mall parking lot. She lives in Florida and I'll see her on my vacation next week. My sibs live near by and have only seen gradual weight loss. Mom will be the first to see my 38 pounds gone since surgery. Can't wait
