What an AWESOME idea, Kerri! I should try the reward system. HEck, it works for my 6 yr old...so why not me too?? I just ordered a couple of workout video's that look like a lot of fun. They should show up in the next week or so. One is Turbo Jam and the other is a Denise Austin Cardio something or other. I'll let you guys know how they are!

Hello all. I am looking for a really good work out DVD. I'm a 27 yr old full time working mom to 2 little kids. I am all for getting up early and working out, but have not been able to find a DVD that 1)holds my interest (IE- doesn't make me feel like a 60 yr old sweatin' to the oldies) and 2) is challenging, but doesn't leave me unable to walk for 3 days! I was banded on 12/12/07. Starting weight was 296 lbs. I am now at 244 lbs with minimal excersize...but I am starting to plateau! Yes, I am due for a fill in a couple of weeks, but I have GOT to get my body moving more!! Has anyone tried "Hip Hop Abs" or "Turbo Jam" OR, what the heck do you use?? I prefer something a cardio-dance type of workout, but have NO idea which one to pick! Thank you! Connie

Hi Kerri! Thanks for the info. Also, I forgot to say CONGRATS yesterday! It's so exciting to be approved! I remember when I got the call that I was approved, I danced a jig around my office and was so excited that I could hardly even stand myself!! Yes, it's true...I went from professional to a blubering 8 yr old girl in about 35 seconds. hahaha I will work on the ticker... Thanks again, Connie

Hello! Thank you for the support words! I can't remember who asked- but no, I was not a self-pay. My insurance covered my surgeon in Dallas. I had to cover my flight and hotel expenses, of course, but it was so worth it! My Dr is really amazing and has done almost 3600 lap band surgeries. He was featured in "Living" magazine with his team. Can anyone tell me how to get a ticker? Thanks again for the welcome!! Connie

Hi! I'm from Maine too! I actually chose to have my surgery in Dallas, TX though. I had surgery on 12-12-07. I have lost 35 lbs to date (including my "pre surgery" diet weight loss. I just returned from Dallas yesterday, as I had my first fill. This is my first post on this site. Hope everyone is doing good! Connie
