    Need low carb food advice

    I know you posted this awile ago but here are my thoughts: I dont think it matters what you eat if you burn more cal than you eat you will loose weight. I like low carb because I dont have room for the carbs so If I stick to protein and veggies for the most I will loose weight. Also carbs (except bread) go down so easy for me. Ice cream, chips, rice ex are sliders for me so I always eat to much! I don't avoid fruit carbs just cant eat much of raw fruit. My doctor told me to eat every 3 hours while awake. I can never eat to much at one time and I feel like if I did not eat every 3 hours or so I would starve. I only eat 50-100 cal. at a time except for dinner because I have more time to sit and focus on eating. Hope this helps and hope you are doing good!

    2nd fill w/Realize band 6cc total no restriction

    I was banded with the realize band on 5/14/08. It has taken months to acheive restriction. I think I have had 5 fills and currently have 8.25cc in a 9cc band. The restriction is there. However if I eat chips, or sweets there is not much restriction so I did not loose much through the holiday's because there was so much of this type of food everywhere. But I have been back on track since the beginging of this week and can not eat much during my meals. I feel like this tool is finaly working. Good luck to everyone. Hang in there it takes a wile!

    "Pumpkin Pie"

    This turned out so good. Follow the dirrections for the pumpkin pie recepie on the back of Libby's 100% pumpkin making the following substatutions. Omit the crust! use splenda not sugar use 1 and 1/2 cups redused fat cottege cheese in leu of the canned milk. Add 2TBS milk I used egg substatute not whole eggs Blend all ingredience in a blender and poor in a shallow baking dish or pie plate, I sprayed mine with a little olive oil so it would not stick. Bake as directed. Fridge over night. This was so good and the cottege cheese ups the protein! I am eating this for Breakfast all week.

  7. My insurance required a BMI of 35 or greater and at least 1 of the following, Sleep Apnea, Diabeties, Heart Disease, or high blood pressure. Or a BMI of 40 or higher (if you were 40 or higher you did not need to have one of the above conditons) My MD office quoted a price of "about 25,000 if you were private pay but I know that varies. I am not sure about the financing question. Hope this helps good luck.

    What about sweet tea???

    I use splenda in my tea. It measres cup for cup just like sugar, I use about 1/2-3/4 cup of splenda depending on the size of the picture I am making. I use decaf tea bags because my doctor does not like for us to have alot of caffeine, it is a diuretic and can cause you to become dehydrated if you have to much of it. I still have my one cup of coffie every AM. And when I am out I drink tea with caffeine, I like to go to McDonalds and get a Unsweet tea and add splenda.

    It is kind of like a pumpkin fluf, or pudding. I tried it with the protein powder but If you add that you have to eat it right away it does not taste good the next day. So next time I am going to add the protein to each serving before I eat it.

    Any one want to exercise every day this month?

    Yesterday walked for about 20 min outside. Would have gone longer but it was getting dark. Today i downloaded some new music for my walk later today!

    This is one of my fav weight watcers recipes 1 can pumpkin (NOT pumpkin pie filling just regular pumpkin) 1 package vanilla sugar free pudding (the powder do not add milk) 1 container sugar free cool whip pumpkin pie spice to taste Mix all ingredience together and put in the fridge until cold and eat, I am going to try and make this and add a scoop of vanilla Protein powder but i have not done this yet. I will try and let you know how it turns out.

    My report for yesterday is as follows: Weights for one hour and then walked outside for about 20min. I am going to be sad when day light savings time ends!

    Great! I did the one mile walk yesterday AM and then lifted weights yesterday evening. This AM i did not drag my but out of bed soon enough so I will walk outside after I lift. Have a great day.
  14. OK, here is the deal. I have done great with weight training since March of this year. I work out 3 times per week for about 1 hour with a friend who is a personal trainer. But we just lift weights. I do cardio on and off but not religiously. So I am setting a goal of working out (cardio) every day this month. I have alot of Walk away the pound videos by Leslie Sansone. So on the days I work I am going to wake up early and do at least the 1 mile walk, and on my days off I am going to walk out side or ride my bike, something more creative. So if any one wants to join me to try and work out at least once a day evey day this month let me know!
  15. I sometimes feel the same way you do! But I think we both made the right choice. I know people who have had the bypass and also loose slower or loose all the weight quick and then start to gain it back. I know I have days when I don't want to eat the way I should and I know this has slowed my loss. But I am not perfect if I was I never whould have had weight loss surgery. I hope I acheive your loss at 9 months I think you have done great! Keep up the good work and mabie with this next fill the lbs will start to fall off.
