DAWG, whe was the last time you were on one? hadn't flown in a while, but went to Florida a few weeks back, and WOW! No seat belt extender, room for my hips... it was an amazing difference! With you, headroom may be an issue, but otherwise, you'll be amazed!

Thanks, Linda. Yeah, my do is a real stickler for the fill thing. He says there is some "trauma" and swelling after a fill, as he removes all the previous fill (to verify it is there) then readds it with more, and adjusts it so you have a new level of restriction. You don't go to his office asking for a specific amount of fill, and he doesn't even tell you how much he put in until you are done with the procedure, so you don't pre-judge how much he has added. For me, it works. Afterward, 48 hours of liquids only, then 48 hours of muchies only, then slowly start adding solid food back in. Just like a mini-version of post surgery. He actually makes us sign a form agreeing to this after each fill. Good thing is, there is usually a windfall of weightloss after a fill because of this, for me, -7 lbs in the past week... restarting my loss! Glad to hear your fill went well! Get in that protein, you are doing great!

Didn't anyone like my fish!?!?!? OK, here's a good weekend one. Take some boneless, skinless Turkey breasts, and pound them until they are really flat. Now, in a bowl, mix feta cheese, thawed, and strained frozen chopped spinach, chopped greek olives and some fresh crushed garlic. Spread the cheese mix on the turkey, and then roll it up and tie with cooking string. Lightly brown the turkey in olive oil, and then transfer to a roasting pan with white wine, rosemary, fresh chopped basil, and a little more olive oil, and bake at 375 until cooked through. Slice the "rolls" and serve with a nice greek salad, or over rice pilaf.

Yep. You can do without the rum (I make it for the kiddies). Just be sure to blend in the nutmeg and cinnamon.

About my ass... It wasn't really my ass, it was a pic of someone else's ass. I really have no ass. It really sucks, because when I go to sit on my ass I just fall over. Right now, I'm being propped up by 2 sawhorses and a guy named Vinny.

I wanna be Tennessee Tuxedo. "Right Chumley, let's go see Mister Whoopee" "Duh... gee Tennessee" -
Got him at Walmart about 4 years ago. You've gotta take some video when you fly for the first time. Personally, I am gonna use the extra skin on my belly as an apron when I'm cooking.

Uhhhhh... That's not mud!:omg:

My doc gives the area a numbing shot first... then he inserts the fill needle, and I never feel it at all. Usually a little sore for a day afterward, but nothing notable. Hope next time goes better! -
Onion soup was one of my faves when on liquids... that and egg drop. Have a great lunch you two. I was just concerned, not trying to be judgemental.:biggrin1:
-
No offense intended, but shouldn't you be doing liquids only for 24-48 hours after a fill?
-
OK... I';m gonna tell ya all a secret... It is my special egg nog recipe. Every xmas I make it, and people rave, but I never give the recipe... I'm gonna share it wil you all, but don't tell folks when you serve it... OK. First, you need to use Dark Rum... much sweeter in flavor than the white. Has to be dark... the darker (and better quality rum) the better. Now, melt 2 gallons of vanilla Haagan Daas ice cream (Has to be that brand, have tried other brands, and does not work as well). Sprinkle in some Nutmeg and cinnamon, and the rum (to taste) and whip it all up well. Chill to just before re-freezing, whip up again and serve. Can't be any easier, and people with think you have this amazing recipe to share! Don't tell them how easy it is!

My wife tried that on me once, but she needed to roast a whole turkey!:heh:
-
Mmmmm... that sounds refreshing. Can I have one, and drink it at your pool? All I have is my daughter's ELMO sprinkler... not quite the same.

9 months... 155 lbs. Only 28 lbs to goal! Yep, success!! -
Last night... Tilapia fish fillets... Mixed a glaze of lowfat mayo, lowfat ceasar dressing and greek seasoning, and brushed it on both sides of the fish. Plced it in a caserole dish, and put slices of fresh tomato on top. Baked at 375 for about 20 minutes. Cheesy mashed Cauliflower... cauliflower steamed, mashed, and combined with skim milk, "I can't believe it's not butter" and lowfat cheddar cheese, and placed in a crock and baked for 1 hour. Sauted Beans and peppers. Fresh Bush beans, Sweet hungarian banana perrpes, and green peppers from my garden, sauteed in olive oil with salt, pepper, garlic powder and fresh basil. For dessert (Wife and daughter had it, not me)... berry milk shakes. Frozen mixed berries, lowfat ice cream, and skim milk milk mixed up in the magic bullet Tonight... Chilli! Ground turkey, Black soy beans (low carb and high fiber), fresh tomatoes and jalapeno peppers (both from my garden), chilli powder, onion and other seasonings. Served over Dreamfields elbow maccaroni with lowfat sour cream, lowfat cheddar cheese, and diced scallions on top. For dessert, baked apples. apples, cored and covered in "I can't believe it's not butter", splenda and cinnamon... covered and baked until tender, and served with a scoop of lowfat vanilla ice cream (again, no dessert for me) Tomorrow... Haven't decided yet.

My doc says that is bogus. We swallow air all the time when we eat, it is no different, unless you are overdoing it I have an occasional Diet Pepsi (maybe once a week). I drink it realllyyyy slowly, and end up burping a lot, but no problems at all. P
