Full with band vs full with sleeve.

I get the nausea when I eat too much also -
I have Cigna. I knew the "revision" surgery I wanted was covered but when the paperwork was submitted it was denied. I called and found out that the denial was only because they wanted it done at a different hospital so we re- submitted the paperwork. It was approved immediately and my surgery was 5 months ago. Good luck

The good news is that once you start eating these foods again - you are going to realize that you don't love them that much anymore
-
I say " go for it!!"

What does it feel like to have the sleeve v. band?
LSF replied to buttercup06's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had the revision in 1 surgery and the recovery was very easy. Yes the weight loss is slower. I do have acid reflux at night but I can take an over the counter acid reducer and I'm fine. If I eat that 1 bite too much, I get nauseous. The sleeve helps you feel full not stuck like the band I'm happy just to have that thing out of me. Good luck to you. -

. It's interesting that you're not getting any emails because when I logon on my computer I was getting an error message saying that my email address was not valid and emails were getting returned but my nothing has changed and I get other emails which doesn't make sense. So happy that your daughters doing better keep us posted -
I have to chew food thoroughly with the sleeve just as I did with the band as long as I eat slow then there are no problems. If I eat a little too fast then I end up running for the bathroom

hungry but can't make myself eat

Change it up a bit. Buy different flavor yogurts ( I love Dannon light and fit Greek yogurt) and soups -
From Lap-Band to Sleeve......

I find if I log my food in My Fitness Pal , eat healthy and exercise I do well. When I don't log, I tend to go off track and then don't lose weight. -

It's possible you might have eaten too much. I get nauseous if I've had a little too much at a meal -
It can push the food through which can allow you to eat more. I can drink right up until I eat but wait 30 minutes after
-
Stick with what your doing and get your fluids in. If it's still bad in a couple more days, I would call the surgeon
-
I've given in to the occasional craving and then I don't want it anymore. I waited for my sons birthday which was 3 months after surgery and had my cupcake. I'll eat a cheeseburger without any bread - I keep saying I'll put it on a sandwich thin but I can't even finish the burger. I'll treAt myself during special occasions but just have a little to satisfy. I did give into Lays Stack Chips at 2 months post op because I reAlly craved them and have no desire to eat them since

I stayed the night but I didn't get into my room until about 7:00 pm and was discharged by 9:30am the next day. I lucked out that my roommate had the sleeve and was there for a tummy tuck so we talked a lot in between our naps
