I am having so much trouble getting all my water in. While trying to get in 5 small meals a day and not drinking with meals, time is limited to get in the water. How are you all doing it??

Been MIA.. Heres an update- protein drink, new surgeon new surgery date TBA
LSF replied to MrsB2007's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I recommend Premier Protein also. Costco sells them by thee case but I've heard that Stop & Shop supermarkets sell the 4- packs. Atkins has a delicious Mocha Latte shake. I've only seen it at Walmart so far -
Back to work soon- tiredness?
LSF replied to nikki1980's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was allowed to take vitamins right away - the surgeon told me to. I bought a B12 that dissolves in your mouth and chewable vitamins. It makes a huge difference with your energy -
No drain for me

Good for you. I'm only 5 weeks post op and I'm scared to go out to eat. I remember what I went through in restaurants when my band was too tight and I'm nervous what its going to be like with the sleeve. Did you lose the 65 pounds after surgery?

Surgery was 2 days ago and feeling very uncomfortable...is this normal?
LSF replied to nycchef76's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I drank the Premier Protein drinks which are 30 grams each so I knew if I could only get in 2 per day I would be fine. In the hospital, they have us this plastic tube thing to breathe into to alleviate the gas and it helped. I do think that walking will help -
Interesting. I don't know of anyone that has had it for more than 10 years and from what I've read on the forums, those that had it for a long time seemed to have more complications when having it removed. My slippage was just starting when I had mine removed. And the X-rays never showed it

Hell no!!!! The band was not good and I didn't have any of the serious issues that a lot of other people had. The biggest thing to remember- the band is not forever. Eventually it has to come out. The sleeve is forever. Plus, the band gets costly, every fill costs $$$ . there are no adjustments with the sleeve

I does seem like you are not eating enough. Almonds are a great snack if you are feeling lightheaded -
Confession time: Can't stop lying about my surgery!
LSF replied to gofigure's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
In my workplace I had 2 co- workers that were out for some time and were not discussing why. That led to a lot of people gossiping and speculating. Then I had another co- worker who had cancer and was very open about it. I noticed that no one was talking about him behind his back and everyone was very supportive. I chose to be honest and received a lot of support but can totally understand why some prefer to keep it quiet -
Help! Incision is opening surgeon useless
LSF replied to CE24's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had steri strips, the surgeon told me to leave them uncovered and let them fall off on their own. It took 2 weeks and each time one fell off, I put peroxide on to help keep infection at bay and they healed nicely. I didn't have anything done in my belly button though. Your pictures look like it's infected. See what your PCP says. -
My co- workers are also very supportive. I think with the WLS, a lot of people lose weight so quickly in the beginning that's it's actually water weight, then as they slow down, it turns to fat coming off. I've only lost 16 pounds and am getting comments from people, you would think I lost 50 ( I wish) !! Lol

STARTING ON REAL FOOD...SUGGESTIONS/RECIPES
LSF replied to GEAUX SAINTS's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think we were sleeved around the same time. I posted this the other day - I sliced a pepper and put the 4 pieces on a cookie sheet. I sauteed chopped onion & deli roast beef. I put 1/2 slice of provolone cheese on the pepper slices, then added the roast beef/onion mixture and topped with more provolone. Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes. Its quick, easy & delicious -
I think you will see your weight start dropping now that you are getting protein in

Lap Band Surgery in Mexico, Revision in U.S.
LSF replied to Janex43's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
First check with your insurance to see if they will cover it. Then look into surgeons in your area and meet with them to see if they will do it. I'm sure there are lots of people that have had the band while living in one state and then moved over the years -
Depression after the Gastric Sleeve
LSF replied to BigTink2LilTink's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
115 pounds in 3 months??? That's an awful lot for such a short time. I wouldn't be surprised if that had something to do with it but maybe you can see your doctor to have blood work done to make sure everything is ok. Good luck!???? -
Cheated every day of 7 day pre op diet
LSF replied to BeautifullyCreated1982's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
That's too bad that they postponed your date. I don't know how everyone did the 2 week liquids. We are the ones that could never stick to a diet to begin with. I'm so thankful that my surgeon didn't require a pre-op liquid diet -
Ladies come in re: period during surgery
LSF replied to Riz2006's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
It happened to me when I had my band put in, I had to wear disposable underwear with a pad. As soon as I got back to my room I put my regular underwear back on -
Snacking - hard time staying full :/
LSF replied to shahada's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I find - especially at work that if I ate a tiny lunch and am still hungry within a half hour, I'll bring some string cheese to tide me over. At home, I bought some deli to snack on -
I had my revision surgery through Cigna. Good luck to you !!
