  2. Hi I am moving to Vancouver, Washington next month and need a doctor there to get fills. Can anyone recomend one in the Portland or Vancouver area? Thanks Penny College Station, TX:smile2:
  3. I was banded 4-29-08 and doing great! No pain meds since I left the hospital. A little gas pain, but nothing to bad. My belly is still a bit swollen, but I htink it takes a little time for all the gas to get out. It is tough just puttering around the house. I do not blame you for getting out and about for a bit. My doctor just gave me the go for soft foods. :biggrin2: Good luck to all of you! I think we made the right decision.

    I can do this....right?????

Yes you can do it! It is tough, but worth the safety during your surgery. I am just over 1 week post surgery and it was tough with the liquids, but so worth it. Banded 4-29-08 Dr. John Mason College Station, TX
  5. I was wondering if anyone was having trouble getting 55-70 grams of Protein per day? I was banded 4-30-08 and I am sick of the Protein Drink (unjury) already and now trying New whey (42 grams) protein supplement and not sure how long I can do that. Any suggestions? Kind Regards Penny:unsure:
  6. Thanks for all the suggestions, y'all are great! I go for my post-op appointment this afternoon. One week down, and doing really well.

    day 4 post-op

Hello all! I was banded 4-30-08 also, and what worked for me so well was walking. I am feeling really good, I am truly blessed. Make sure you just sip the liquids, too much at one time can cause the pain. Hang in there! Hope you feel better soon. MimiMac
  8. Greetings, Just needed to vent a bit! Yesterday was the second time my doctor had to cancel my appointment. I know that emergencies happen, but it is still very disappointing when this is the second time it was cancelled. This time he had a death in the family, no control over that for sure. But cannot get me in until the 20th of this month! Had my physc exam today, it went quite well, only 165 questions to answer and then meet with the consouler for 45 minutes. I feel pretty good about it considering what I have read here in this forum. Do you see an elphant? What the hell is that about!?! Anyway, I didn't have a loon asking me questions. (thank goodness) I will be posting again as soon as I get to see my docotor. Have a nice day! Mimi:wink_smile:
  9. :frown:I had my first appointment with the surgeon yesterday and they had to re-schedule the appointment due to emergency surgery. I was so ready to get the ball rolling. At least I can see him on the 7th of Feb. so that is not so long to wait. Just have to have patience, that is something I need towork on. I will post my progress. Thanks for listening.
  10. Just wanted to test this and say hello. This looks like the place I want to be. I go to the doctor this afternoon to start the scheduling process. Wish me luck.:rolleyes2:
