    Hi from Ireland!

Hi folks, I haven't been on for a days things a bit busy. I've felt no real change in restriction since the last fill and have an appointment for the 29th, hopefully the next fill or even the one after that will get me to my sweet spot. I am pleased with the weight loss to date about 4 stone 2lb and people are noticing and commenting which by and large is nice. Sounds as if clarity is still a problem with ACS. Hadn't heard they had moved until I read one of the previous posts. I presume they will let people know as their appointments get nearer. Hope everyone is well and in case I don't get to log on over the next few days hope ye all have a great bank holiday weekend.

    Hi from Ireland!

Hi Ailbhe, sorry to hear you are having difficulty, hopefully the antibiotics will kick in and a trip to the hospital will not be needed. Has Dr Chris got back to you with his opinion yet?

    Hi from Ireland!

Hi all, Roe, glad you got another appointment relatively quickly. The 8th doesn't suit me as the kids are on mid term break so I'll wait until the 29th and see how it goes. Think I'm down about a 1lb and 1/2 since last Thursday. If I could loose between that and 2lb a week and keep it off I'd be happy. Ailbhe, I get the odd twinge mostly around were the port is. If its still bothering you when your due your next fill make sure to say it to the Doc. Lil, how are you doing, have you had any joy with restriction? Coco, interesting to hear about Dr Jan he did mention that he was coming back to Ireland. Hope things work out for him think he got a raw deal from ACS. Bye for now.

    Hi from Ireland!

Hi folks, I got a phone call from Kim this am with my next appointment for a fill which is the 29th of May. I could get used to this service! Haven't felt any extra restriction with the additional 1ml but Frederick did say it may not make a difference until the next 1ml goes in. I'll plod along and see how it goes. How is everyone else doing, have your fills kicked in?

    Hi from Ireland!

Hi all, Had my fill yesterday as well, it was a different person to Roe but equally nice. His name is Frederik and he works with European Centre For follow-up and Services, he told me he works with Dr DeBruyne. Have to say he was very assured and seemed to genuinely know what he was talking about. He told me I only had 2mls in my band and the prot was twisted so he had to do a bit of prodding and poking before he was able to give me another 1ml. Got a call from Kim today to see how I was feeling and she said she will call me on Monday with my next appointment but to ring before that if I had any concerns. Hopefully this is the type of service we will get from now on. Same weight down on their scales so pleased.. also more news I passed my driving test this afternoon so I've had a great start to my weekend. Hope everyone is well.

    Hi from Ireland!

Hi all, Allure many congratulations on your news you must be thrilled. Its fantastic that you are starting your pregnancy 5 stone down it will be much healthier for you and the baby. The doctors told me after I had my son 4 years ago that it would be dangerous for me to have another child at my weight! I've hit the four stone down mark on my scales so I'm pleased, hopefully ACS scales will agree with mine when I go tomorrow for my fill.

    Hi from Ireland!

Hi Roe, My appointment is for the afternoon on Thursday, I've asked Leanne if a cancellation (ha) comes for the morning to give me a shout as am would suit me better. If this happens I'll give you a pm to arrange to meet up. Gerri Glad we are getting appointments and good news that its Dr C De Bruyne thats the surgeon he has a good reputation. Heres to a hassle free continuation to our collective weight loss.

    Hi from Ireland!

Hi Laura35 My fill is in Fitzwilliam street. Candp, Saturday would suit me better and to be honest the 2.30pm on Thursday does not really suit but I know if I turn it down it could be ages before another one available. Roe, delighted you got an appointment to.

    Hi from Ireland!

Hi folks, got an email last night from ACS think it was from Fitzwilliam with an appointment for a fill next Thursday the 18th at 2.30pm. They hope the phone lines are fixed today. I'm so pleased to have an appointment hopefully it won't be cancelled.

    Hi from Ireland!

Hi Lil, I emailed Fitzwilliam yesterday evening and Owenstown this pm, no reply from either. I just phoned Belfast, spoke to nice lady who said that Fitzwilliam and Owenstown are having problems with their phones (maybe didn't pay bills!) and hope to have them sorted soon. Hopefully that will happen.

    Hi from Ireland!

Hi, just a quick question, I have been trying to contacdt ACS last night and today, Fitzwilliam and Owenstown both lines constantly engaged tried Galway just out of curiosity and its engaged all the time too... has anyone had contact from ACS or been able to contact them today?? I'm getting paranoid.

    Hi from Ireland!

Lil, it is good news that they are doing fillls in Dublin again and I'm looking forward to gettind one. SkinnyIrishbabe, feel better that they don't like you either!!! (only joking) maybe there not contacting the people who rang them the most. Marge, don't be too disheartened, its better that you found out about your eye now rather than later. Get your sight sorted first and then you will be strong enough to book the surgery again.

    Hi from Ireland!

Sorry about the moan in the previous post. I'll try ACS tomorrow and get an appointment. Skinny, way to go you are living up to your web name! Roe, nice to see you back on the site. Coco is right lets get what we paid for from ACS. Don't be beating yourself up, all of us who took the step to have this done deserve to pat ourselves on the back. Tooth alot better today a bit tender after the work but nothing like the pain of the previous night.

    Hi from Ireland!

Hi all, Beginning to feel ACS don't like me, I didn't get the letter about the take over and I haven't been contacted about the fills in Dublin! I wouldn't have known had I not just logged on. Just tried phoning but engaged, probably good for me to take a deep breath before I speak to someone.

    Hi from Ireland!

Hi guys, Ellen, glad the swelling and the weight going down for you. Lil, good news that your band settled down after your overfill. Elsie and Ailbhe sounds as if your first fill went well hope you get the restriction. Nikki, congratulations on the birth of your son Kai, wow I'd love to be able to say that I need to put on 14lbs to look healthy. Terry, sounds like a good price for the surgery, you'll make the right decision for you. I've had an unexpected visit to the dentist today was up from 2am to 6am with toothache. Should have had root canal treatment done in December but put if off due to the price however had to get it started on an emergency basis today, two hours in the chair and €400 (only half the price) and I feel a bit better just tired now. Didn't eat much today so maybe not all bad. Take care ladies, I have to say I do look forward to logging on and catching up on the news. Gerri

    Hi from Ireland!

Hi Lil, hope you are feeling a bit better... and are keeping liquids down, Loriha is right don't let that go for long without seeing someone even your GP if you can't get ACS. I have just phoned ACS meant to do so earlier but got distracted. They are still waiting for the IMC to issue the surgeon his number. Apparently he is in the country but cannot do fills until he gets his number! Hopefully he'll get it quick.

    Hi from Ireland!

Hi Ellen, I had a look at the site for Dr Cerna it looks very good and prices are competitive. I hope to have another couple of stone gone by the summer and maybe be in a position to have a tummy tuck and boob lift. I'd be on for meeting up in town next Thursday for a coffee and a chat, can someone pm me with the time and the place.

    Hi from Ireland!

Hi guys, my friend suggested melting the easter eggs and making rice crispie cakes, only problem there is that I would eat them instead! Have to say although still waiting and waiting for fill in Dublin for some unknown reason weight beginning to go down again. About 1 1/2 lbs off four stone! Went to a christening last Saturday and a lot of people seemed visibley suprised at how I looked. I played it cool but boy was I smiling on the inside... Going to give ACS a ring will let ye know if any news.

    Hi from Ireland!

Hi Ellen, How are you feeling today? Dini, I joined the Ben Dunne Gym Westpoint at Blanchardstown it was €650 for 3 people to join, think there is still a special offer on. I've been going roughly twice a week and to aqua fit once think its helping and although I'm loathe to admit it I am enjoying it. I was going to ring ACS for an update but think I'll give my head a rest until after the weekend. Hope ye all have a great weekend, I'm off to a christening tomorrow and if no one notices the weight loss there will be tears!

    Hi from Ireland!

Hi Coco, I'm for the whole package, arms, tummy, thighs, boobs don't know if I'd go as far as the bumsadaisey! Ellen, hope all went well and that your Saint Patrick treats you with TLC. I spoke to ACS today and they say they have a surgeon for Dublin just waiting for his registration to go through the IMC. Hope to have that sorted by next week.

    Hi from Ireland!

Hi Coco, Ellen, Elsie, Lil, Skinnyirishbabe and all Coco you are right its been lovely reading the upbeat posts, Ellen you have made me smile lots and lots. If Dr Yummy has a surgical team including Dr McDreamy and Dr Steamy I for one would go on a group trip! Hopefully we'll have more good news over the next few weeks.

    Hi from Ireland!

Hi Guys, Its hard to know what to think. I just hope that whoever they are that they get us a qualified surgeon who gave give us the aftercare we have paid for and deserve. I don't want to start having regrets for having the surgery the decision was too momentous for regrets to kick in... Lets hope we hear something concrete soon. Gerri
