I think it is very possible. I kind of felt this way after the restriction from my first fill subsided but in retrospect I think it was just the difference between how I felt right after the fill and how I felt when it subsided. If you are at a plateau as well, it can't hurt to move up your fill date. I cannot say enough about the difference between the first and second fills.

Mine hasn't been that way, I have actually lost quite a bit of my upper stomach. I do have a little poochy area where my port is that doesn't want to go away no matter how many crunches I do. Hopefully someone else can be more help.

That is so awesome!! Congrats on 50 pounds!!

Hi ladies, Sorry I wasn't able to make it on Saturday. I would love to try again next time. Please post when another one gets planned. Melanie

I think I have to cancel. My husbands plane was due in this morning at 949 but his flight into Denver was delayed and he missed that one. He is on standby for another one that gets in at 1230 something but he didn't let me know if he got on it or not. If he doesn't get home, I don't have a sitter and won't make it. I will try to post and let you all know one way or the other when I find out. Ahhhhh!

Any one out there with PCOS?
Mom2_4 replied to SeeShell's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I have PCOS and have been banded for close to 3 months. I haven't had any problems with losing weight since being banded, but often struggled beforehand partly due to the PCOS. Also, I used to have a period once or twice a year and now I am as regular as anyone else. -
I do think I am going to go on Saturday, unless something major comes up. I did lose all of it with the band. I just hit 50 pounds this morning, celebrated of course with more shopping  Hope to see you Sat!

I'm not a good 'dieter' either but I think you need to give it some more time. When you get to the right amount of restriction, you will be forced into compliance and hopefully for you the weight will start coming off.
-
Go for it! I bet you will be surprised at how good you do, especially after such an awesome weight loss. Some things stay with you. I did competitive gymnastics and alot of dance while younger and my stretching ability is still amazing, especially for weighing as much as I do.

I was banded by Dr. Orris & DeBarros the day before you  I just had my second fill yesterday. What a major difference it has been!
-
I was banded on 2/14 and just had my second fill. I am at 4.75 in my 10cc band. So far, I have great restriction from this last fill.

In Which I Come out of Hiding and Show my Naked Belly
Mom2_4 replied to jnbwilds's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Great post! I can't agree with you more with the PB'ing is Gross syndrome. Just had my doozy of a second fill as well. Glad you are doing so well. -
I would see the doctor, can't hurt to start the process as well as get something to help with the raw skin. Sorry you are hurting so much!

I just flew to Chicago this week and I felt it while in the air but it didn't last once we were on the ground.

Hugs! This is such a roller coaster ride with so many changes in our lives. Do something good for yourself tonight and give yourself a break. Hope you feel better!

Which celebrity do YOU think needs the Lap Band?

I say Queen Latifah and the guy from Law & Order Criminal Intent, can't remember his name. -
Elated before the big letdown... :(
Mom2_4 replied to BlessedTwice's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I also say stay away from the scale, it makes me crazy at times. Just keep on doing what you are doing. My weight goes down like crazy the week before my period and then the week of my period, absolutely nothing happens. I am going to just stop weighing myself the week of my period because it messes with my head so much. Isn't it amazing that even though you know in your head you are just retaining Water, how the scales number is enough to send you over the deep end! -
A house cat, 10 dozen large eggs and an average human brain
Mom2_4 replied to ReadySteadyGo's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I've lost an elephants heart and a human brain -
I'm not sure of the benefits but I prefer mornings because I have more energy in the morning and am more likely to skip the gym in the evening.

My clinic required payment of my portion by the day prior to surgery.

To get to my ideal weight, I will have had to have lost 170 pounds. Seems very overwhelming but the band is an awesome tool. Nothing like being on a diet and deciding to stop, because you can't. I had surgery just over 2 months ago and the first almost 50 are gone! I get on these highs from so many NSVs that it doesn't feel so overwhelming any more. Try not to get caught up in the numbers and enjoy the ride!

I can use my Curves & Weightwatchers information
Mom2_4 replied to tyrind's topic in Insurance & Financing
I don't know what they use, I would guess it would be the most current weight. This sounds terrible, but maybe load up on the fluids just before going in to get weighed so your BMI doesn't fall below the requirements. -
Congratulations!! Good luck with your surgery!!

Mine is crazy, but the opposite of you. Mine has come twice since having surgery and both times, for the entire week prior to starting I lose weight like a crazy person. Last time it was like 7 pounds. Then I have a week of absolutely nothing! It is maddening to me.
