WOO HOO!!!!!! I LOST 2 POUNDS!!!!!!!!:Banane20: A little much, I know, but I am so excited about it! Okay Leslie, you were right. Logging your food helps!
-
Morning Leslie! I was having trouble with TDP...kept logging my food for the next day...I had to go back and change the date for everything last night. Must have missed that one. It's fixed now. It had my time zone 5 hours ahead. That's Hawaii right??? LOL I am doing okay so far. I took your advice and put the Peanut Butter in my yogurt. Much better. I might actually eat more of that now! I will try to be good today. We are going out for dinner tonight. Not sure what will happen! LOL It's Friday everyone! Go forth and have a great weekend!!!! I am going to my very first all day crop (scrapbooking fest). It's actually called 'Croptoberfest'! LOL I hope I get something accomplished. I made a book of my daughter's Freshman year of high school. I haven't even started her Sophomore year and she is a Junior now! So that is what I am going to work on. It's from 9 am to 9 pm. I would love to get the whole thing done, but I foresee more talking than working happening! LOL ~C

Yeah...I know. I knew I was eating too much. Then it was hard to back away from it. I was instantly like I was before banding. Hungry all the time, rooting around for something to eat. I love that we can have this tool to remind us to stop eating! Not to mention the 'not hungry' part. For me, that is the best part. I was miserable being so hungry all the time. It made me grumpy. I was perpetually dieting. I'm so glad I have this...despite my issues that I've had from time to time, I wouldn't trade it! ~C

MOM!!!!!!!!! Good for you! LOL I don't wish you any pain or discomfort, but I know exactly what you mean. I couldn't wait to get refilled and when I finally did, I loved it! There is such a difference isn't there? I missed having my fill....you'd think we'd be excited to just eat, but I wasn't. Oh my...look out! You are gonna be all over this! ~C

Numbrgirl- Here's the link! I am so happy for you! You are really doing great and I'll bet you'll make your goal! Good to hear from you! http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f179/april-avengers-strut-your-stuff-77921/

WOW! I've never checked out this thread because I was banded on April 10th. I wish I knew all of you were in here having hard times. There is a handful of other April Avengers in the main thread (Calling All April Bandsters) that still post. I would love it if you all would join in. We need each other and this is a great way to get and give support. A few of us are now logging on The Daily Plate to see if that helps too. Many of us have stalled in the weight loss, experienced some band troubles and are trying to get back on track. Sounds like we all could use each other! Please pop in or PM me...I'd love to hear from you! ~Carol

Awww, dangit! I'm sorry! I hope I didn't upset you.{{{hugs}}}

So once again, I didn't even know this thread existed! I only 'heard' about it because Leslie mentioned it over on the other thread. Sheesh, I'm sorry girls. Well, you all look beautiful! I'm not brave enough to post pics, so I live through you girls. The changes are amazing. We are the cutest group ever! ~C

I'm sad to say that I won't be able to make mine either. I didn't set it too high (15 pounds), but I ended up unfilled for a month. No excuses, I made poor decisions during that time. I will hopefully make that goal by Thanksgiving...only 7 more to go!
-
Mom- You are less than 3 pounds away from your goal! You can do it! I'll bet you'll make 185 by Halloween and 175 by Thanksgiving!! That suggestion sounds so good I think I will make that too! :cool2: Awesome job! Girl you are rocking this! You'll make your 100 pounds. You've got plenty of time! Your pics look wonderful! ~Carol

GWENN!!!! Great to hear from you! I'm so sorry about your uncle. I'm glad your sister is coming to help you. It will be nice for you to have family around you during this time. I understand that you are busy, and I can just imagine how tough it is to get donations at a time like this. Very stressful I'm sure. How was/is your holiday season going? I hope you are at least enjoying that! I like your hair too! ~C

That Heba has my blood boiling! She is so catty! I just get that bad feeling about her every time she is on screen. Ugh! I can't wait for her to be voted off!
-
Well now I feel left out! What happened in chat and why didn't anyone come and get me????? LOL I would've joined ya! Please tell!

ROFL!! Your killin' me! First of all...I feel bad that you got sucked into my web of questions! LOL Secondly...good Lord! Your schedule sounds a lot like mine! Except I won't be having any more kids, but DH is always up for practicing. Ugh! I would love to be addicted to the gym. I've told L2L that many times. I want addiction transfer to go that direction...BUT- shoot me if I start grunting or much less wearing a head mic! LOL Of course, who knows, maybe we will all become personal trainers. L2L will teach Zumba that's for sure! ~C

The website encourages weight training to rebuild/maintain muscle that we lose during weight loss (thus, the reason for the plateau's). But, it doesn't really say anything about combining the two. Shouldn't there be a day of rest? How in the world could anyone do 60 minutes of cardio after a weight training session? Listen to me...opened up a can of worms! LOL
-
So do you exercise for 60 min 7 days a week? What about all the rest? I generally find my heart rate in the 150's according to the cardio machines... a little too high for fat burning for me. I don't know. I'm feeling more confused than ever. I wanna do the right thing, but that seems excessive to do it every day. And a little unrealistic.

Goodbye thread!

Ok...I found it Scroll down a few if you didn't see it!

Oh...and another thing... I am so eating more than I thought! Leslie, I hate journaling, but I have to admit it's opening my eyes. In fact, I felt so sorry for myself that I had chocolate! So there! Hi Mom! Glad you had a good time. Welcome back! Bea- Woot! YAY!!!! I think my other post got hung up...I wrote a real long one with questions...went to post it and it said it was duplicated. Not sure what happened.

My turn to spam the thread... As you all know, I'm still on my plateau (and gain). I've been reading up on Target Heart Rates and such. On WebMD, I found some good information about exercising, but I want to know a few things. 1) Do you exercise following that protocol? (Target Zone, etc) 2) How LONG do you exercise? (ie, 30 min, 40 min, 60 min) 3) How many times a week do you exercise? (3 days, 5 days, 7 days) 4) Do you weight train, and how often? 5) Do you weight train and do cardio on the same days? 6) If so, do you do it before or after the weight training? So I obviously think I'm doing something wrong. I just read that the new standard for weight loss is now 60 minutes every day. For real????? Wow, I was still operating under the premise that 30 minutes 3 x week was sufficient. Where have I been? Why did I think that was going to help me lose weight? An hour seems like a lot. According to WebMD, the first 20 minutes is burning sugars only, the second 20 minutes burns the remainder of any sugars, and starts to tap into the fat reserve. After 40 minutes, it's using all fat!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, and they recommend exercising in the Water or the cold as this causes the body to burn the fat in order to stay warm. Thoughts?

Way to go Leslie! In your pictures you look beautiful! I'm sure in real life you look amazing! ~C

I'm on the Daily Plate. I am listed as Turler. I don't know why, but it keeps taking me to the Livestrong area. I don't think that matters, but I can't seem to figure out how to find any of you. Help??? ~C

I have a treadmill...it sits in the basement collecting dust. I never use it because it's creepy in the basement (not yet finished). Bad investment for me...but maybe someday I'll drag it to another room and make a home gym. I keep asking DH, but he says I won't use it no matter where it sits. Meanie. Bea- I've never heard of the intolerance thing. I will ask my doctor about it. I am definitely not drinking enough water, so I'm not at all surprised that dehydration could cause some issues getting food down. I need to have all my food 'lubricated'. I am really going to focus on the water. Baby steps, right? I've been trying all day, but if I drink water then I don't get my coffee....what a dilemma! Oh...and I like to sweat too. I love walking out of the gym with my shirt all wet and my face is red. I too feel like I've done something good for myself. I know it's gross, but I don't care. LOL ~C

Brandy-- I too face a little disgust with the gyms and their classes. I must start by saying that I really do love, love, love my new gym. BUT, as I'm getting more fit, I've noticed that the classes I'm interested in are at odd hours. Like 9 am on Wednesday is the Boot Camp class!!! HELLOOOOO, that is when most everyone is working! Not fair. And it's only offered that one time. Spinning is another, again, 11am on a Tuesday. That doesn't help me much. I work crazy hours and weird days. So I feel ya, so far I'm happy with the cardio equipment and weights, but I might like to take a class. I think I will talk to the owner about this!
