Hey everyone, Sorry i havent posted in soooooo long, but my life has been CRAZY!!!!! My husband and I have seperated and I filed for divorce! My kids & I have moved into an appartment, so life has been a mess! but the good news is I've lost 75 lbs since April 8th WOOOO HOOOO! yeah I cant believe it myself I started in a size 24 and am now in a size 18, I have only had 2 fills but i am pretty tight most of the time, pretty sure its mostly from stress but im losing so im not going to complain. how is everyone doing?

Hi everyone! its been several months since I posted, SORRY! lots of changes in my life.....my husband and i have seperated & I've moved, but the good news is I've lost 75 lbs......WOOO HOOOO! I was banded on April 8th '08 in Mexico, but I live in Camdenton. I would love to hear from Mazziemommy....last time I saw she & her husband had seperated! was just wondering how things were in ur life.....now we have another thing in common......not so glad about this on though....Cindy ( oh yeah I've had 2 fills & am very tight most of the time)

Carol I'm so sorry to hear about your loss, I have been there and at age 34 to lose my dad makes me feel very cheated in life, I will be praying for u and your family. Seems like eveyones weight lose is doing great! Good job everyone. Sorry I dont get to post much just really busy, but I am thinking about everyone and how we are doing. I had my first fill last week and due for #2 on June 30th, so far I am down 26 lbs total and already down a pant size so I feel great.......Cindy

Hi everyone, i haven't been on computer much lately.....summer, kids, & work keep me very busy..........anyway I had my first fill last week on Monday (1 1/4 in a 4 band) so I am feeling alot more restriction, have had a few things stuck, MAJOR pain, but no PBing or slimming, I'm scared to death for that to happen, so I try to be very careful. Funny thing is I never noticed until I was banded how eating is sooooo different, I have been catching myself puttung another bite into my mouth b4 I have swallowed and chewed up the first one. Then I think about how bad it hurt when something got stuck, dont want that to happen again. Suziecat- Dr Malley's office all seem very cool, my next fill is on June 30th at 2:15 so maybe we can meet then, my friend Julie and I were banded together so we will have our appts. at the same time(need company on our 3 hr drive to KC) we planned on leaving early to shop or mess around b4 appt. so let me know.........Down 26 lbs total so far in 9 weeks...Cindy

Im not sure how much Dr Malley charges for surgery, but he is in Overland Park and I am using him for my fills. I will have my first fill on June 2nd, and I was banded in TJ Mexico by Dr. Kuri on April 8th, 2008. But I hear Dr Malley is great, also SuzieCat on MO uses him and she lives in Kc area. Cindy

Dianne, I went to school in Lebanon and my family lives in Eldridge...but I now live in Camdenton, still not very far away...anyway it is so great to talk to someone so close to me and in my home town...I would like to join a support group if you guys get one in Lebanon...Cindy

Thanks for the heads up Turler...my first fill is on June 2nd and I wish it as now...but they will only take 1 new MX patient a week, so I have to wait til 8weeks post op.....DANG I really want it now. Did ur Dr do the Flouro on your first fill? I'm guessing not since you didn't say so......I hear most do..I wonder why some do and some don't? Anyway I'm jealous.....Cindy

Hello everyone sorry I've been really busy, working & kids and stuff.....I'm doing really good I am down 20 lbs,(I wish it was more) but I am feeling so much better already and already am fitting into jeans a size smaller.....I will be getting my first fill on June 2nd, I made that appt over 2 months ago and that was the soonest, I will be 8 weeks out and I feel like I am ready for it now!! Anyway gotto go lots of prom nails and hair this week BUSY BUSY....Cindy

Suziecat- I actually still have my appt in KC, I was just kinda throwing that idea around...but I think since I am already set up w Dr Malley, that I will just stay with him....so we can meet after all. My 2 friend really like him and so do you so I will stay where I'm at, I guess 3 hours isn't all that bad...LOL...and can just make it a fun day....Cindy

Hello everyone, can u believe this crazy weather, freezing temps. tonight and it the end of April, I now have to cover my tomatoes....Anyway I was wondering if their is a Dr. in Springfield who will take new fill patients? I have an appt in KC on June 2nd but was wondering if their was one closer to me....plus I have to wait 8 weeks post op to get my first fill...What about Dr Edwards? and can u give me his phone #? Hi Carol, I've been doing good, All healed up!! The scales dont seem to be moving much, and I'm doing everything I should so not sure what that means, I'm going to start exercising more maybe that will give it a boost, and I can't wait til my first fill on June 2nd, i couldn't get in any sooner....I want to get this show on the road......Looks like you are doing great over 40 lbs now,WOW tell me your secret.......Cindy

OMG Bon Jovi, he is even HOTTER now than then...............and what about half-shirts (yep sure can't wear them now...LOL) and your jeans all cut up w/ tons of slits on them..&...BLUE EYESHADOW.....OMG SOOOOO FUNNY I LOVE THIS THREAD.....Cindy

Glad to see I'm not the only one crazy about the scales...I just can't help it, I have been weighing every day then get frustrated when it doesn't move....I am 2 1/2 weeks post op and have lost 18 lbs total and the scales haven't moved in a few days, so I will take the advise and NOT weigh everyday.......cause its driving me CRAZY....Cindy

hi guys, just wanted to say I'm doing great, today i got on the scales and i have lost 16 lbs...I CANT BELIEVE IT...I am sooooo greatful already.still a little sore but no big deal...Mazzie..you and your family will be in my prayers..I wish you the best, stay strong....Cindy

He is at Hospital Angeles, he has a web site it is lapbandsurgery.com1-888-223-4046 ...I am feeling great today just a little sore..Just a quick bit on how good I felt the day after, we got a cab driver to take us on a 4 hour tour of Tijuana and the surrounding areas the day after surgery, I was sore and the bumpy roads hurt a little, then on day 2 after,we had a 15 hr dayto get home from Mexico..So on Friday I did sleep most of the day.....but really I feel great not any pain just sore...Cindy email me if you want to ask any ?'s i will be glad to help

Danibryt-No I'm not uncomfortable, just a little sore I actually feel really good today, thank god, cause I'm going back to work tomorrow(I am a hairdresser, so I cant sit much only when doing nails) How are you feeling? I think the swelling is actually starting to go down cause i can fit in my jeans and not be miserable....

Its my head hunger thats driving me crazy, smelling supper cook, and stuff..but I'm doing pretty good. I am going back to work Tuesday, so I hope it goes ok..I am a little frustrated I haven't lost much since surgery just 1 lb --DANG.. I have only had about 800 cal. if that per day and the scales aren't moving so it really pisses me off (yeah I know I need to heal)but it still upsets me, so far today I have only had maybe 300 cal, I'm not hunger so I cant eat...........has anyone had this happen?

Wow 12 lbs n a week, I was banded on the 8th amd i have only lost 1 lb, and I am not even eating 800 cal. a day....so go figure, I guess it is due to swelling and retention of water. It is frustrating not to see the scales move...but they will soon enough when I heal good...Cindy

I was just banded on Tuesday the 8th, and I plan on going back to work tomorrow, I am a hairstylist and on my feet 10-12 hrs, but this week I am only working 1/2 days (just incase) I am feeling really good, not much pain at all, just sore and some shoulder pain, but I think I will be fine to go to work 1 week after surgery....good luck

I was banded by Dr. Kuri in Tijuana, Mexico....my experience was great, the language barrier with nurses and staff was the only frustrating thing. I do have another ? when I bend over I have a sharp pain by my belly button (no incisions there) do you think its just from being irritated by surgery, its almost like nerve pain or something? Not all the time but just if i move too quickly or bend over wrong...Other wise I am doing good, I did have the shoulder pain BAD for 2 days now, the heat helps that....Cindy

I just wanted to throw in my experience in Mexico, I just got banded 6 days ago by Dr. Kuri in TJ, Mexico, and have had a great experience (except for the language barrier w/ nurses and staff) everything perfect....oh yeah and getting across the border coming back LOL....And trust me no one was as sceptical(sp?) as my husband, but he is sold now....the hospital was cleaner than most I've seen in the US....hope this helps...Cindy ( by the way my fill Dr. in Kansas City was taught by Dr Kuri and he does take all his patients w/out question,so I also have a Dr. close to home)

I just got back from Mexico..I had my surgery 6 days ago w/ Dr.Kuri in TJ, and I was also nervous about this, but I knew a few people who had already gone to him( and no-one was more nervous about going to Mexico than my husband was)so I had a great experience. He is an awesome & caring dr..the only problem I ran into was the language barrier at the hospital w/ some of the nurses and staff, some speak pretty good english, but most do not, so that was frustrating a little. I am very glad I did this and so far feel great w/out much pain, just a little sore. I live in Missouri, so "hi", we aren't very far away...I am going back to work tomorrow, I am a hairstylist and plan on 1/2 days this week, I don't think I'm up for full days yet...............Good luck and feel free to email me if you have anymore ?'s....Cindy:thumbup:
