Hi, Sorry I didn't update sooner....have been resting. I went to Mexico and was banded on Tuesday...so Thursday was a 15 hour day coming home, from 2 hour wait at the border, to a 3 1/2 hr plane ride, to 3 1/2 hrs ride home in the car.....so Friday I just rested all day....anyway I am doing great, had the shoulder pain yesterday( and my shoulder was swollen...is that normal?) but seems to be better today....incisions are healing nice(very itchy)...and I'm not really hungry at all(just that damn head hunger)..But I do have a ? for u guys....I have hardly had anything to eat in the last 6 days and I havent lost ANY weight since surgery, is it because of the swelling and stuff from surgery? Makes me a little upset...but that is the only thing I can think of....help me on this please!!!Cindy

I bought Blue Hake from Schwans, it is real mild and very good, we put it in a little olive oil and sautee it w/ citrus seasoning it it GREAT

I am home and doing great, slept most of the day, just because I had a 15 hour day yesterday, 2 hr wait at the border(FUN FUN) then 3 hr plane ride(delayed) , then 4 hrs home...and etc so I needed my sleep in my own bed and dang it felt good. So anyway I am good not much pain at all just sore, no gas pain either(but I didnt have any w hysterectomy 3 yrs ago) so I'm real glad for that....Can u guys believe we did it and its over..YAHOO....It does feel a little weird, I have a lump feeling I guess its the swelling inside and have rumbling sounds sometimes..But I am not hungry at all so that good....how are u guys doing now? Hello everyone, I'm back and banded....YES...its about time....feeling great, I have slept most of the day today, yesterday was about a 15 hour day of traveling after being banded on the 8th....so I needed to sleep today..I havent really had any pain just sore and bloated feeling, not really any gas either, so I feel pretty lucky. I haven't been hungry either, it was weird to smell food cooking and not make me hungry, so I took a bite to just taste it and spit it out. I'm glad to hear everyone is doing ok...

ok guys, its my day for travel...have everything packed and ready to go...leaving n a few hours....starting to get a little nervous, I have been pretty calm, but today a little nervous....I wish you all the best of health during your surgery....will be back late Thursday night so I will post sometime Friday, cant wait to hear everyones story...........Good Luck And God Bless...Cindy:thumbup:

Thanks 3 days now, diet is going good, got better after the 1st week...I've lost 12 lbs n a week and a half...so I did something right...Just trying to get thing ready, cleaning house BIG time today, I hate coming home to dirty house....taking kids to moms, etc.....we are leaving tomorrow 4 KC to mess around a little b4 our flight Monday morning...I just want it to be over with the anticipation is killing me.....So I will not be home until late Thursday night, will let u guys know on Friday how things went.............thank you for all ur support and well wishes...Cindy

Hi,guys!!! Still have a sore throat today but a little better, but no fever....my beauty shop partner has been sick all week, major cough and called me tonight saying she has a fever....GREAT....but I'm taking antibiotics to help so i think it will be fine....Just getting prepared for our trip to Mexico...2 young boys to get in order(thank God for grandmothers) my mom will be traveling about 35 miles each way taking them back and forth to school while we r gone.. I'm just glad winter is over and we dont have to worry about slick roads! I hope you all are doing ok and yours husbands as well w/ all the tests going on, will keep u all n my prayers!Cindy

Of course that would be cool!! I was almost to afraid to call and tell Dr, I started taking antibiotics yesterday, and just called him today....I was hoping he would say it was ok...good thing he did....and I have also been scared my surgery would be cancelled...mostly cause I'm selfpay and going all the way to Mexico!! What Dr do u use for ur fills? I have an appt. on June 2nd w/Dr Malley in Overlandpark(I think thats what city)I have a friend who use him and he really likes him....Just took Tylenol PM to get some sleep tonight...Later...Cindy

OH MY GOSH---I'm getting sick, I've had a really bad sore throat for 3 days and had to call Dr to start meds...I knew this would happen, sick people all around me... 1 week left so hopefully will be better....on the bright side I'm glad it happened now instead of this weekend:confused2:... So hows everyones diets going? Mine was better today since my throat hurt and I was not hungry at all...but I have lost 10 lbs in 1 week, we deserve a pat on the back for all our hard work....So we will be going to KC Airport on Sunday and after that wont be back until Thursday night late, so I wont be posting til next Friday after this week...I wish u all the best of luck and will have u all in my prayers for a great surgery....Cindy (email me anytime scbryant07@yahoo.com)

hello all, I also have been a migraine sufferer for several years and many Dr. just give u relief meds, but almost 2 years ago my Dr put me on Propranlol (not sure on spelling) it was the best thing EVER for me....I had a minimum of 2 MAJOR migraines a month, blinding and blurred vision, could not function...and have not had any since being put on that med. ....Relpax is awesome for relief but am soooooo glad to not have one to treat anymore.....hopefully when I'm banded I can go off that eventually..my band date is 1 week from today April8th...Cindy:blink:

Hi Suziecat---my surgery is on Tuesday April 8 th, just 1 more week....and i am going to Mexico w/Dr. Kuri....but I live at Camdenton, near the Lake of the Ozarks....so I've just been lurking around w/ all u guys.....I am having a little problem today I've had a sore throat for 3 days and had to start taking meds...makes me a little nervous...but i want to be well to have my surgery...I have lost 10 lbs on my diet in 1 week and today has been much easier plus being sick dont want to eat.....Cindy

awesome and congrats, I am the same way w/ Vicodin and use benadryl when i have to take it so I can sleep and helps w/ the itching...keep us updated as i would love to hear how it going.....1 week from today til my surgery April 8.....Cindy:thumbup:

I'm right there w/ ya.....1 week on liquids w/ one low carb meal a day and I have had the same problems....I do use Benefiber every morning in my coffee(no taste or thickness added) but still have to take Omega 3's, so it has to be due to less food.....by the way i am down 10 lbs in one week and today has been much easier..

I want to get a real sexy tramp stamp ( you know the lower back tatoo) so everyone can see and not just see my fat ass.....LOL

I am right there w/ ya...now on day 5 and I have lost 8.5 lbs....it soooooo makes me want to keep on track.. and i think it is getting easier every day.. my surgery is on 4/8.. only 10 days to go....Cindy

Blund u will do fine, just keep focused on why u r doing the diet that helps, so far I have been on my diet fo 5 days now and have lost 8.5 lbs, the first few days were really bad but as I see the scales go down it is much better...I did cheat a little last night but am back on track today and focused, i just keep thinking about how awesome things will be to be skinny again, cute clothes and not feeling bad about myself all the time...good luck...Cindy to be banded on 4/8:thumbup:

Bea1128- i soo agree w/ u and everyone else, it is time we take our lives and crappy self image thoughts back, I am always so affraid of what ppl r thinking of me and i dont want my kids to b ashamed of their mom being fat....I know a few ppl who have had the band a few yrs ago and they all say that after u are banded food is no longer an issue in your life...maybe then we can just focus on cute clothes and health....as I have alot of skinny clothes that i have kept for years since i had my kids and WILL wear them again.....Good luck to us all and GOD Bless.....Cindy

Well I'm feeling much better this morning i got on the scales and have lost 8.5 lbs so far this week on my LSD, I have done really well, but I did cheat a little last night, But am SOOOOO ready to be on track today....I think the weekend might b a little tough since kids aren't at school and eat typical kids foods....Anyway Carol I have not told most of my client about my surgery only the ones I consider friends, so I just want to keep it quiet until I feel better about saying something, like after I have it done. Mostly because i am going to Mexico and have to listen to everyone freak out about that, I have done my research, LOTS, and ppl really r negative about Mexico and surgery....So until I come back and r doing well then i dont really want to many to know...Cindy

Hello All! I know just how u feel Carol I'm self pay also, so just this alone is alot of money, then when they try to slip something else in it must b stressful...(like we aren't stressed enough w/ upcoming surgery). I am just so affraid of getting sick b4, i have 2 school age boys and I am a hairdresser and work w/ public(who always come n sick) it seems everyone around me has the flu or a cold that i dont want or need....today was a much better day on the diet,( it helps when the scale shows 5lbs lighter) that really makes me more motivated....So I think I can, I think I can.....no I will....:thumbup:Cindy

Yeah pretty much SUCKS and I'm only on day 2 of my diet, I have to do 2 weeks, 2 meals of Liquid protein, and 1 low carb meal....So by the end of the day today I was ready to eat the ass end of a cow!!!! But on the bright side ONLY 12 more days til surgery...then I will b on my way to one sexy APRIL AVENGER....YES!!!!

So Turler do u have to start ur diet tomorrow? R u ready?
