wow, I could hardly wait the 6 weeks to get my first fill. You have some will power! You will be surprised how much less you can eat once you get to the proper restriction.
-
I had my surgery done at the hospital angeles and went through belite too. I had a good experience, feel free to PM me with any questions.

at least 3, aimed for 5. There are other threads on here about it too.

I have been a member for 2 years. It is a great start. I am cancelling my membership this week because I have joined the YMCA. I lost a lot even before surgery going to Curves. You get what you put into it. The support is great too. I was ready for more of a challenge after 2 years, just did my first workout with a trainer today at the Y and she was amazed at how fit I was and I contribute that to Curves!

Oct 07 Bandsters - how are you doing?
Christal replied to yankeerobin's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Wow! That is awesome! I am doing low carb too and I have to admit that it does help! I started out doing a weight watchers type thing then when restriction hit I switched to low carb and it has been pretty steady since. I have lost about 45 since surgery on October 5. I am in 16s and approaching 14s and can't wait! I was doing Curves, but recently switched to the YMCA for something more. So far so good. I made some low carb spaghetti the other night, it was great! Dreamlands makes a low carb Pasta with 5 g of carb per serving. I have been looking for some variety too! -
Why Aren't You Losing Weight?

Sooo.... no hunger? And it is like having restriction all the time with no fills? I haven't looked into it either and never even heard of it until I seen the adds on here. Can the sleeve slip or anything? -
I use my generic magic bullet. I bought it from Walmart for like $30 and it does the same thing and comes with all the cups and stuff too. I think the brand is Sunbeam.
-
I wasn't on a liquid diet but a low carb diet to shrink my liver.
-
have you tried Fill Centers USA - Weight Loss Surgery - Bariatric Surgery - Gastric Bypass Surgery - Lap Band Surgery Information and Support website? I get my fills through them.

help me narrow down mexico surgeon choice

I used belite and never had any problems with them. I guess every one has their own experiences, but I never had any issues. Everything they told me was right on. They sent me all kinds of materials to read before hand, helped find a fill doctor close to me, and still hear from them from time to time to check on my progress. -

I am still losing, but I was curious why you would be losing your band? -
Anyone not told kids about their lapband
Christal replied to angelface's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My son is 10 now and he knew all about it. He isn't heavy and probably never will be - he is type 1 diabetic, but I also wanted him to know that eating unhealthy is not good. I don't know how I would hide it from him. The littlest kids are most observant. -
I felt the same way after my first fill. I didn't feel any restriction until the 3rd. Just try to be aware of what you are eatting and if you are really hungry or not.

There was some show on this morning that said very few people that undergo weight loss surgery ever actually hit a "normal" weight. I found that surprising. I wonder what the actual data is.
-
I was wondering if anyone has tried the cookie diet? A lady at work is on it and lost 11# in a week and her husband lost 12#. I have heard of it but never looked into it. I was just wondering if anyone has tried it?

There is a doctor visiting the Curves I go to that is offering mesotherapy. She has packages! $175 individual treatments, on up to $2500. Has anyone had any real results with this? Would be nice to do this after goal instead of a tummy tuck!

I borrowed from my home equity and went to Mexico. Have you went to any of the seminars? They usually help you find financing. I looked into captial one I think and theirs was outrageous too.

There was a thread on here about Jillians workouts, I remember it wasn't much. I am sad to say I dont know I would do it all without her standing over me!
-
I am watching it now. It doesn't seem fair. The women don't have a chance. The men are all at our around 100# lost and the women are around 50-60#. They should split them up.
-
Ha ha, I was thinking the same thing. Knock off a few # during a plateau. I don't know about the water thing either though... I do the protien shakes still but sometimes still feel hungry.

Buying clothes throughout weightloss?
Christal replied to katie78's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Places like Goodwill are good, even Walmart. I just bought a pair of shorts there last night for $10 and a shirt for $5. I look for the sales. I have even bought some stuff off of Ebay. I heard some doctors offices have a clothing exchange. I try to wear my clothes as long as I can but after a while I feel like I have poopy pants on or something lol!
