I used Dr. Minkin in St. Louis Des Peres hospital. Not including the fills it was 10,000, Camille

This is Camille. Dr. Minkin did my fill at Des Peres yesterday 2-22-06. They all put on lead aprons and did the fill right under the xray and it was a cinch. I have had tooth cleanings that were more trouble. I am telling you folks if you live near St. Louis, this guy is great. Just ate some runny mashed potatoes and I am full. Tommorrow I can start the trial and error. He said I could try anything but salads and sticky rice and jerky type food. Then I left the hospital and missed my turn home and went to Illinois and after that got locked out of my car at Walmart so I guess it all evens out. Cam

I live a small burg about 130 miles north of St. Louis. I had my surgery on Jan 12 and I have lost 17 pounds after surgery and 18 before cause I had to lose to have it. My doc is Dr. Minkin at Des Peres and I love him. I need to get my first fill tommorrow. I hope the snow and sleet cooperates. Anyway I wanted to tell you that I lived in Lees Summit MO and Bonner Springs KS. a few years back. We went to the Docs in KC quite a bit. I did that awful protein fast. Lost 90 gained 170 back. Call your doc. I had the same thing also. One reason may be the pain pills { if you had them} after surgery, but you will be miserable if you do not do something. My surgeon gave ducolax stool softener and milk of magnesia and told me to call back if I did not get a result. Pepto will cause the opposite cause it is for when you go too much, thanks Camille

I agree with the doggy bags. I order what I want and eat my portion and eat on it for other meals. I guess that would not work in Australia, but I get my variety that way. Or today my husband took the shrimp off my plate for his lunch at work. My daughter did make the point I am having trouble knowing real hunger from head hunger and I really have a problem with the waiting to drink. In Southeast MO. iced tea is a part of almost all meals. I did not read this until now Feb 8 06. I had surgery as des peres with Minkin and I loved him. It was just last month on the 12 and I had no problems so far. I am however having trouble telling brain emotional eating from real hunger. I a losing about 2 .2 lbs a week. Sure beats gaining. I hope you are doing well . Camille Linda
