C 250 (- 115 total, - 4 this week) FINALLY! some weight loss here!

I just read this and I have been freaking out!!! With ALL of the reports of recent bat bites in Houston, I have been SO scared for you. Thank God it was a false alarm!!!

As I sit here at my desk I feel like a million bucks. I love the way my heart feels, I love the way I don't run out of breath... BUT, I still look at myself as a 365 lb fat girl! I look in the mirror and see the same person that has always been there. I can't tell that there is 115 lbs gone. I love my body, but I don't "SEE" it. Until, like Donna said.... I see a picture. I am definitely not scared of getting skinny, but I just don't see that when I look in a mirror. This is a great thread, really made me think for a minute!

Atkins is not a NO CARB diet. During the Induction phase you should eat no more than 20 carbs, but no where does Dr. Atkins say to eat NO carbs. I think you should do what your Dr. says. My Dr. wants me to eat Protein, veggies and if I have room, some carbs. I don't try to totally eliminate carbs from my diet, but they do not sit well with me, and they are the reason I was so fat in the first place. There are good carbs and bad carbs, which I am sure you are aware of. You should follow what your Dr. suggests.

First of all I would just like to say that I am so sorry that you had to go through something like this Misfortune. My thoughts are forever with you. I have never read anything so disturbing as your story. Second, to the others that were jumping on Misfortune for telling her story... gimme a break. I don't even know this person, but my heart goes out to her and for you to say that she can't bad mouth the Dr. that did this to her is BS. I be damned if I have a surgery and almost die and don't tell the whole world about it. She had every right to. I don't care if your Surgery was in Mexico, U.S., or any other place. I wouldn't touch this Dr. with a ten foot pole just because of this horrible story and you can tell from her post that she was simply stating her story, and that we should all do our research. THANK you for sharing this with me!!!! Misfortune!

I know a lot of nasty stuff can be said... and I do believe that everyone has the right to express their opinons... some people just take things too far. Then again... there is a VERY fine line between too far and not too far. I might think something is OK, and someone else might not. I have had some VERY ugly PM's sent to me from 2 nasty people... but guys... THAT IGNORE BUTTON rocks!!! Curiousity gets the best of me... In a few months I will un-ignore them... just to see the trouble they started. I am openly admitting that I love to read the drama as long as it doesn't get too personal.

A very good friend of mine has the 10cm band that will hold 4 cc's. Her last fill was up to 3.8cc and we were very worried that she may never have restriction. She FINALLY has it. That sure was getting close to the max for me.
