  1. I am so hella sick of protein shakes. Having to force myself to drink them to get my protein, as the powder makes pre-made pudding and yogurt taste funny. Won't get cleared for puree/soft until Wed afternoon. I'll get through this, but last night I seriously wanted to suck the salt off of a cracker my hubby was eating. LOL. Chew and spit makes more sense in my head now. LOL

      for me that was the most difficult period of the WHOLE process. you're almost there! and while I agree in general chewing and spitting can be a manifestation of an eating disorder, I do not necessarily think it is at that stage. but it can become - so hopefully you'll make it through this weekend and early week without resorting to anything crazy! I could tolerate the unflavored protein in unsweetened applesauce pretty well.

      Have you tried any of the clear ones like Isopure? You can also get some pickle popsicles or even drink a little pickle juice - it may help your salt craving (or craving to lick a cracker LOL).

      I started blending mine with ice when I got to the 'NO MORE' point. Then I could eat them with a spoon and they had just a bit more texture so it felt like I was chewing something. Hang in there, this part SUCKS but once it's behind you, you'll hardly remember it!
