Yep. Starting to get a little bit of butterflies. I'm seeing significant weight loss for the first time in years and years, so I'm asking myself if I really need to do this, but I just read back over a couple of my blog entries, and think about how hard it is right now walking by the snack machine and remember that if I could do this without the surgery, I'd have already done it.

yes, and remember you have no idea what life would throw at you in the future. I had lost 30 some pounds last year before surgery - but with what happened in my life this summer I know for a fact, jack, that I would have put it back on and more. I would have turned to cookies and cake when I lost Daddy. it is the restriction and habits formed after surgery that have kept me even during the last 6 weeks, and I know that once I am ready to live again the weight will start coming off again too.
