Why if I am only getting in 700-800 Calories and about 83g protein I am still straving?

How in the world are you getting so much protein but eating so few calories? Also, are you actually FEELING hungry or are you just "mentally" hungry? I had the RNY and I'm 1.5 years out. I don't feel hunger at all... but I know when I need to eat because I can get shaky if I'm not paying attention to the time.
